I posted this in the junkyard thread (a little), but this morning there was filming at 109 U Pull It in Winston Salem for a new reality show

I was asking one of the workers on my way out, they didnt have anything to say except it was for Discovery Channel and the focus was on the junkyard business.
I will look it up online later to see if there are any details, likely not, though.

The introductions and instructions for the day took about 5 takes per person and the director kept yelling out to the crowd, "Guys, we need energy from you! Lets get excited!"
Few did much of it, we just wanted some parts.

Everyone had to sign waivers and have our photo taken with the waiver. Was told we'll just be background folks, but could be seen on tv and that's why they're doing the waivers.

Thanks for this now all day I'll have that stupid jingle in my head that they've been singing for years. Call 7889122 and we'll come get that car from you. šŸ¤£

I did some reality TV before it was called reality TV, was technically a documentary. Nothing like having a producer/director say "great, do it again" while trying to live your life in real time while they film your high-school life.

MTV show?
Yeah, the main worker starts his thing, "Hey guys welcome..."
The the 'ref' steps up and gives his schtick about how the thing will work
Then here come the director...

Multiple times for each, and given direction of how they should act/say things, and what to say and do

Will you get residuals? šŸ¤”

No offense implied to anyone at all, but I hate all things reality based. I look down on people that indulge in it, Jenny included.

Most all if it is somehow exploiting people. I couldn't agree more.
