Dixie Gun and Knife Show August 5 and 6th- Raleigh NC

Hmmm... Don't think I need anything in particular... Maybe go for the people watching...

Ammo deals worth the price of admission these days? Like internet pricing? I know you can get better than usual gun prices and find reloading stuff, but I do'nt need any of that.
 
When you factor in the admission price it of course boosts the price of anything you buy.....but at the same time it supports the gun show industry. The Dixie shows are much better than the other ones for sure.
 
Can't speak much for ammo prices, since I reload and rarely look to buy anything at the shows. I have bought a gun at a show before, and if I am looking for anything in particular I will definitely keep my eyes open.

Most of what I care about at the shows are the hazmat items. I always try to restock my primer and powders, and prices have been really good at the shows. I would have to buy > 10 lbs of powder online to offset the cost of shipping and hazmat fees, even including the entry fee at the show. I will usually pick up 2-3 lbs of powder, and 2-3k primers.

Everything else is entertainment. :)

Yes. Between the two of them, you can usually find whatever it is you are looking for. And if you let them know ahead of time that you are looking for a certain powder, they will hold it for you at the show.
 
I'll probably go. Powder selection at the Fayetteville show sucks. Vendors have to keep powder in their vehicles, and go outside and bring in your order.
 
Planning to meet @knifeman32 there to collect some mags and to meet some other from the forum there.

Anyone else from Wake Forest going?
 
I'm looking forward to the show. I'm not looking for anything. But, who knows?

ok, Im driving 2.5 hours to come to this show Saturday. We need a call like a big "CA CAW, CA CAW, CA CAW" around 11 for us to all meet at a location. Brilliant plan, I know.

Technically Jayne's wife said there will be food trucks, and they're over by the arena for the horse show that's going on at the same time. Gun people just eat those questionable hotdogs and whatnot served inside the show.
