Hey guys,

The Dixie Gun and Knife Show is back in Raleigh, NC this weekend (1/20 and 1/21). We will be there at the Backwoods Bang Shop booth. Drop by and see us!

We will not be at the Winston Salem show this weekend.

Who else is going?

Good luck to sellers and buyers. Won't be attending as I'm all stocked up on beef jerky and turquoise.
LOL. You need one of those sparky fire starters. And a taser. Also, stop by one of the booths with the lasers, and shine it around on the ceiling. Those are the reasons I go, for the light show. :D

I will be there Saturday morning. Look for me at one of the aforementioned locations.

Oh, I forgot about the tasers going off every 5 mins. Must be how long they take to charge back up.
I worked shows for 15yrs. I don't miss it at all.

I will be there with my sexy CFF badge (courtesy of Design Mine Graphics). Try to control your enthusiasm when you see me. :D:D:D:D

I'd be happy if someone had a pair of lok palm swell bogies for a cz sp-01 but I realize that is asking a lot.

I'm going but not sure which day. Let me know whether you usually go through the show clockwise so I can go in the opposite way and grab up the rest.;)
Random, using the highest level of situational awareness to be sure nobody beats me. But I spend a lot of time checking out and tasting the pickles.

There's so much salt brine on NC roads right now that everywhere smells like pickles.

I'll be there at some point. Only reason is Blue Collar Reloading. Goal is to finish stocking up on supplies needed to keep me shooting through mid 2019. Depending on how much this plumber bill will be, I may shoot for mid 2020.
Main reason for me to go as well. I try to buy about twice what I consume, until I get enough stock built up. (Hint: there is never enough ;)) I think I have enough now to last through 2020, maybe a little more.

I'm going on Sunday morning after attending the chile cookoff Saturday afternoon. Some folks may smell more than the pickles.

I'm looking to buy a stun gun, but I want an in the air demonstration first. Think a vendor will be there willing to do that?

Saturday morning after opening, will have my CFF name badge on and a Frontline Defense shirt.

I haven’t been to a show in almost 10 years, is it still just as much of a waste of time as it used to be? I’d be looking for maybe a good used sp101, marlin 39, Henry 22, or 10/22.

Worth it?

I'll be the fat guy stuffing his face with pickle samples. :p

You might want to go on and park in the “with guns lot” Gate 4 because there’s a cheerleading competition (Dorton Arena), motorsports convention and auction (Expo Center - next to the Graham Bldg) and hobby & toy convention (Scott Bldg). Add in fairly nice weather for the flea market and parking might be tight.

Yup, I take Trinity and go in #4 entrance beat the traffic.

Haha,, y'all have to go to the show. I got lucky,, with 2 snow days this week I get to work today

I wonder if they have cleared all the normally usable parking spaces as well- I expect they have pushed snow into pretty large heaps here and there.

I'm headed there this morning with a few friends.

The wife told me not to get any more of that 'stinky gun show cheese', so I guess that's off the shopping list.

Just left when you arrived. OK show, nothing special. Tried to see some of our vendors, but DAMN! they were all busy as could be. Good for them! Went to see my favorite holster person and bought a new holster and mag carrier from her. Got an extra mag and some beef jerky and an ammo can to store all the beef jerky in. Didn't see anything I HAD to have and most prices I saw weren't all that great so nothing just jumped up and shouted "BUY ME!!!!" But overall it was a good way to spend a couple of hours out of the snow-covered house and see other human beings.

Lots of powder and primers, but hardly any projectiles. I was looking for 9mm and all I could find were a few barry's and a handful of really expensive stuff.

Also, did see one of the Ruger PC9s (it was gone when we went back later in the day) and 3 Glock 19X mullet guns.

It was packed, one of the busiest shows I've been to. Stopped and talked to a guy at Backwoods Bang Shop but he was just helping, everyone else was busy.

They had the best price in the show on the Millennium G2 that I was kinda looking for but they only had one left in FDE. Not a fan of Taurus FDE, it's too light colored.

There was a guy with two tables full of old used shotguns, mostly Mossberg pumps (Maverick 88s, etc.) for $100 to $120. Good place to pick up a beater. Most of them had at least some rust on the barrels and scratches in the black paint of the receiver, but the one I checked out seemed to be in good working order.

Left with some Ga Arms 357sig ammo, some 147gr 9mm bullets, and a three percenter sticker, lol. I thought I showed admirable restraint. Being broke helps too.
