Upper to lower fit. I know there are things like the accuwedge to correct this. Just wondering bc there is a decent price on a rock river but it Def has significant play from the upper to lower. What do you guys see in your experience?

Some do yeah. If it really bothers you get some of the little polymer wedges that go in the lower, cures the problem.

Some of mine do, some don’t as much. They all will have a slight bit of play.

My favorite one I assembled with a Spikes lower and DD upper has a slight bit of movement but the two Barnes Precision Machine ones do not … thanks to a Tension Screw setup that they and some other manufacturers use to take out that little extra wiggle between the upper and lower.

Funny, the first AR I put together is a basic bitch PSA upper/lower. Fits toigt like toiger, no rattles.

Everything else I have (Aero/VLTOR/17 Design/etc) all has some play, some more noticeable than others.

The new gen of Aero lowers have a fitment screw to make it tight with no rattle. - I've honestly never even messed with it. Never bothered me any. IDK what you would call "significant" though.
I guess when i held the gun, my left hand could kind of rock the upper left to right slightly. It's been s while since i owned any ar's but when i did they didn't do that. Neither did the psa my dad has. Just curious if it was a deal breaker or no. Thanks to everyone for the input. This place is great!

I got a pack of these for my AR that rattles. Put it over the front lug* and it took all the wiggle away. They are one time use, but they are $5 for 100.

All my ARs have 80% lowers that I drilled out myself. None of them have any rattle at all. They are so damn tight, it's a little tough to push the damn pin out to disassemble.

$40 80% lowers equal peak performance... Forget Daniel Defense, Spikes, etc...

I don’t have any factory ARs.

My tightest (and I can hit 700 yards consistently w crap ammo) is a 16” middy built on an early BCA lower.

The several Aero M4E1 sets I’ve built have the anti wiggle screw but I’ve never bothered to mess with them.

From experience, it's a very BIG non-issue........

Doesn't affect accuracy, and ain't loud enough to give you away.

Accu-wedges work, but so do pieces of pink erasers cut to size.

Six one, half a dozen the other..........

Same with a foam ear pug.

I find the raddle a issue with the rear takedown pin, more then any other part. If you want, go buy a rear take down pin and swap it out, the "raddle will go away.

Honestly a little wiggle wont hurt your accuracy or hurt the gun. The rifle I qualified expert on in the Army had massive play. You could actively see through the rifle. Its a quality of life thing.

I use an accuwedge in one gun that has slight rattle. Works great.
