I read it as he was going to connect the outdoor cameras but not the indoor cameras."Hackim said he feels that implementing ConnectRaleigh inside his store is an invasion of privacy for his business and customers"
Still does it anyway?

I’m not a huge fan of surveillance or giving gov or police access to cameras without an affidavit. It seems more recently, police are depending on personal/business cameras to help solve crimes and confirm alibis.
I agree. I was just pointing out my interpretation of the article. This seems to be a voluntary program…for now.No access without a warrant!
I have a driveway camera for me, my use. They going to demand access on that?
I've been to the UK multiple times. It struck me how all the cameras felt invasive. That same mentality is creeping here. I don't like it (there, said it).
I was just referring to the thought.I agree
It’s OK just charge $2,000 for each picture.Buying a camera and giving the police carte Blanche access to it seems like a bad idea.
yeah, we do have the cops at our place for security reasons from time to time. they also stop in when neighboring businesses have problems and ask to see our camerasIt seems more recently, police are depending on personal/business cameras to help solve crimes and confirm alibis.
Yeah, that doesn't help as much as you're probably thinking it does.Hat on, head down with a mask is the only way to get around downtown without being tracked.
