Was out shooting today and had 3 double fires. I got deliberate with the trigger and the last time it happened i held the trigger and upon release it fired when it reset.
Milspec I'd suspect Anderson parts

Thoughts?

had an ar9 do that as the pins from the fire control group were sliding out....hth

That's kinda what I thought when it did it last fal . I installed anti walk pins then But life happened and had6 fired it again until today

Double-checked the FCG springs are installed correctly?

swap out the trigger and hammer? maybe the surfaces aren't holding quite correctly
maybe the lower is a little out of spec and they have a little too much distance between the holes?

have you removed it and cleaned/ inspected the fcg? Could be smutz in the disconnect area, bad spring, worn parts, ...

Rounded/worn pin holes (less likely)
Trigger wear

I'd clean the heck out of it as @Catfish said, and if that doesn't work then time for a new trigger. I'll send you a take off OEM trigger/hammer if you need one.

Thanks. I'll pull it apart today. clean and inspect it.

So I pulled the fcg out it was clean as could be and spring look good. But the part of the hammer that sits against the trigger seems to be slightly rounded. Manual reset of the hammer it doesn't seem to have that crisp click upon reset.

The front flat of the trigger where the hammer rests seems to be ever so slightly rounded as well. I'd say that's the issue.

Hey man Iā€™ve got a couple of mil-spec triggers youā€™re welcomed too, one appears to be slightly used and one is brand new never installed, both are out of PSA kits.

Same batch of ammo?

Order a CMC. Youā€™ll thank yerself

The times i have doubled were due to poor trigger/recoil control with a light trigger.

That was my thoughts last fall. But to hold the trigger then to fire on trigger reset. Something wasnt right

Not sure the picture picks it up. But uneven wear as well as the rounded surface on the trigger and hammer. Which I didn't get a picture of 20200311_112333.jpg

that's the problem for sure. those are supposed to be nice clean, sharp edges!

Is that a difference in manufacturers or is there a chunk missing from the disconnector hook? I'm sure you're tossing the entire FCG at this point but now I want to see what the other parts look like!

It was a sharp hook when I put it in. Just a defect in the hardening process I'd assume.
