Who builds a good dump trailer?

Who builds junk that I should avoid?

I have recently developed need for a dump trailer, and don't know much about them. I don't need the best trailer on the market, but I don't want a piece of junk, either. I'd rather spend a little more and not have to worry about it.

This will be for business use hauling scrap metal to the scrap yard, and 1-cubic yard bags of industrial solid waste to the landfill (tired of getting reamed by Waste Management).

Check out Kraftsman trailer and Kaufman trailer

I went through that same search a year ago. My targets were Kaufman, PJ and Griffin. Look at all of them, mark down the pros and cons. Pay attention to welds and wiring. Those two can tell you a lot about the quality of items you can't see.

My must haves were hydraulic power up/down, brakes on each wheel, heavy floor/side, 24" sides, D-Rings, 2 way gate.

A friend of mine has one for sale. It's a 7 x 14 with a pair of 7000 lb axles.

He paid over 7, 500 for it and will take $5,500. It's in perfect working order.

Send me a PM if you're interested and I'll forward his contact info.
