Durham PRC .22 Precision matches?

Anyone shoot these matches up at DPRC? I am going to try and make the one on Sunday. Looks like fun.

They are a lot of fun!! @JimP42 is the match director. I suggest you sign up for Varmint and Tactical classes and shoot twice.

Your screen name looks familiar from Snipers Hide, same person by chance?

If you're in Fuquay you are close to Woody's and not too far away from Frontline Defense to scratch your 1k itch. Paul Smith @Frontline Defense can help you with that.

Also, be sure to check out the TSC matches at Conover (~2 hours from the Quay):

Thanks. Yup same guy as from Snipers Hide and a few other sites.

Yup I havbe shot PRS, 3 gun and DMR matches at Woody's over the years and shot the .22 match at Frontline last year and the NRL and monthly Absolute Zero match last weekend. All fun.

Thanks for the heads up on TSC. Will check it out.

No. I no longer have access to my buddy’s CZ550!
I shot a few when Bunsen was MD. Very fun!

Wanna shoot my tacticool? I want to check one of these out but don't want to roll up alone with no clue what I'm getting into.

I would not be afraid to shoot this solo. It is a VERY shooter friendly match, and a ton of fun!

I can't make this weekend, but I may be able to make next month.

Just prepare your ego to be beaten by an 11 or 12 year old young lady.

@Gear Head for Varmit and Tactical classes yes. There are classes that only shoot at 50 and 100 yard racks.

@Gear Head I'll be at the match shooting both 150 yard classes. It's a friendly group.

What division would a 455 tacticool put me in?

It would only exclude you from Sporter. You could shoot Target (50yds & 100yds), Varmint or Tactical (50yds, 100yds, & 150yds). Target and Varmint shoot from the bench or prone while Tactical focuses on the shooter buildng a position on a barricade or obstacle, etc. Unless you have shot PRS style matches start with Target and Varmint.

This looks interesting. I have never shot any competition, what would I need and what type of ammo, standard or high velocity?

@TNTmx9 It is best if you pre-register. The event is on set revolutions and only 3 people can shoot at each distance at a time. If you are shooting 50 & 100 yards it takes 40 mins. If you are shooting all 3 an hour. At this point there may not be enough slots to shoot 2 divisions or share a gun. I'm not sure though because I haven't reviewed the rolls.

Having never done this, would I be better to shoot sporter or target or ?? I have a cz 455 standard trainer.

The website should answer all your questions, but if you keep the scope under 14x and that's a tapered barrel rather than a bull barrel it should be a sporter rifle. Doesn't matter if you want to shoot out to 150 yards though, at that range we have varmint (any rifle from bench) and tactical (any rifle from various positions).
Definitely pre-register so you have a spot and you know when to show up.

I may have to try this out if I can get the fvsr dialed in
