Forward to 2:10, she "doesn't appreciate the police telling her to get a gun".

Of note:
Police response seems to be under 10 min. which I classify as very good.
It's not clear if any crime is being committed. Nowhere on her Ring video do you hear her tell the man to go away.
Other neighbors have spoken to the man, and he seems to want money and "stuff". Maybe he keeps bothering her because she has never responded?
 
Lady, the cops will show up after the break-in and rape to write a report - get your head out of your ass!

This is not to Ferrisfan but I hear this a lot. "The cops are 5 min down the road, why do I need to protect myself". What the idiots don't realize is the LEO need to be informed about something. When the door is broken and the phone is ripped out of your hands how can you call?

Is it illegal to knock on someone's door? I know it's stupid and in my neighborhood almost an guaranteed means of committing suicide but he seems polite. He's not BANGING on the door or attempting to force entry.

She should go to the inside of her door and holler at him to get the hell off her porch with this sound in the background.:D

My wife who by many accounts is smarter than I am, said after she watched the video: this genius advertized to all perverts that she lives alone in the Southside development in Durham, had the TV camera show her house, said it takes 12 minutes for the police to respond to her 911 calls and she is unarmed and make sure to cover your face so the Ring camera does not record your mug.
 
I'm shocked that someone can be so naive to put so much info out there. It wouldnt take much for someone nefarious to look up property, get an address, floor plan, and so many other things. I cant believe she goes on camera and then says that the cops were "inappropriate" for suggesting she gets a gun. Wow...smh

Durham ... that area is on the edge of the downtown revitalization/gentrification. Newer uninformed types are learning their new upper scale neighborhood is within walking distance of some of the less desirable hoods. A co-worker (she and her husband moved here from NJ last year) bought a $400k plus 2 bedroom condo in downtown Durham. Their cars have been broken into multiple times, outside storage broken into, mail/packages stolen, etc ... and they wonder why the police can stop it.

It was happening quite a bit, that's why they shut it down. I stopped visiting wral.com once they did away with comments. Same with ABC11

The single or at least morally compromised officers have really missed their booty target with this one. Volunteer for a couple nights and you would be swimming in that spring of youth.

She's worried about being hurt and doesn't want guns around her... but she's oblivious to the fact that police are the state's guns, and they (statistically) have a higher rate of alcohol abuse, cheating on wives, and domestic violence. If she wants police coming around to save her from violence and guns, she's really not thinking things through very well.
But I'm stating the obvious.
Wanna bet that she's anti-cop in every other topic except this one?
