In a move sure to worry many that the venerable two-century-old West Point is going woke, Superintendent Lt. Gen. Steve Gilland announced Monday a change in the institution’s mission statement.

The phrase “duty, honor, country” is out — exchanged for the more amorphous “Army values.”

“Duty, Honor, Country is foundational to the United States Military Academy’s culture and will always remain our motto,” he wrote. “It defines who we are as an institution and as graduates of West Point.”

“These three hallowed words are the hallmark of the cadet experience and bind the Long Gray Line together across our great history.”

Well, apparently not, you slack jawed, booger eating moron.

What's next, a revival of "An Army of One"?

I sincerely hope your successor erases all your changes and reinstates the original mission statement.

A Army of minus one.

Welp, they’ve torn down every other tradition and institution. Why are we surprised by this?

I’m just waiting on them to change the oath to protecting the president and not the constitution.

wait i've seen that one before...kinda sorta went something like this

I swear by God this sacred oath, that I will obey absolutely the orders of the Supreme Commander of the German Army, Adolf Hitler. I will with loyal dedication perform my duties and obey without condition the orders of my superiors.

I want to know who are the external stakeholders?
'working with leaders from across West Point and external stakeholders'

This thread makes me want to make a Navy pride shirt with "Professionalism, Integrity, Tradition" on it, just to see if there's anybody out there who would get peeved at it.
