EAA Girsan P35 Match and Ops are Shipping

MSRP is $699 and the street price seems to be $620 from the drop shippers. You get a beavertail flared magwell frame, flat trigger, fiber optic front sight, late model MKIII rear and upgraded grips. I wish they had checkered the front strap or at least serrated it but seems a good upgrade for the money. About $175 more than the standard offering. I also wish they had gotten rid of warning billboard.

That is the one I would get if I were to buy another clone. That and the detective.

Reports have been good. The new FN is not really a BHP. It is a different design.

The Girsan has had less reports of issues than the SA35.

I am hoping the Detective slide will run on standard frames like the FM will. I will slap on on my alloy FNs.

I have heard a fair LGS should be able to get them out of distribution and sell at a profit at $650-$680 Iron supply is a big distributor who has them.

I am also hearing they did not install the mag disconnect on these models.

One thing that has come up is that other grips might not fit. One buyer stated he could not get any other grips to fit without modification. This is not unusual with BHPs but something to keep in mind.

Variation in BHP frames even FN guns is common. The best BHP grips are Spegel and even they come with these fitting instructions.

Stumbled across a very lightly used OPS yesterday for a pretty good price. I really like this gun a lot over the standard P35. Upgrades include better sights, much better trigger, extended beaver tail, no mag disconnect, thinner grips and extended slide lock/release. Sold my P35 less than a month after purchase, think I'll hang on to this one for a while.
