How many (if any) extra mags do you keep on you for your EDC pistol and how do you carry them?

With my P07 I keep a spare magazine in the car. If I feel I am in a "more dangerous" area it gets clipped on my belt in its horizontal carrier.

I wear an one spare G19 magazine clipped vertically on my support side hip. It balances the gun on my other hip and makes me look fat instead of armed. I also keep some extra ammo in the car but that's not "on me" it's for spontaneous range days.

When I carry spares, little guns: in the pocket, fullsize guns: IWB carrier. Don't carry spares on me often.

I keep a spare mag in weak hand front pocket (or cargo pocket if they are blackhawk! pants with mag loops in the pocket). And 1 for each of my guns I carry in the center console of the car. I did recently take a EDC course where it was proven how much faster a iwb or owb mag carrier is than a pocket, but I am one of those guys that's very self conscious of printing and it's hard enough for me to conceal my weapon not to mention the mag carrier as well. Also, bad habits have a way of reoccurring when you are lazy.

My EDC is a Shield with a TLR-6. I carry it with a 7 round mag with a Hyve+1 for 9 rounds total in the gun.

I carry either an extra Hyve +1 equipped mag (8 total) or a Hyve+2 equipped mag (10 total). I have an IWB carrier and an OWB horizontal carrier. Occasionally I'll carry both.

99% of the time, I edc a PCR. I feel like 14+1 gets me out of trouble or to the truck where more powerful stuff awaits.
A few occasions when I actually try to be presentable, I ditch the PCR in favor of a 442 in a pocket holster. I don't feel undergunned, because if I'm wearing a nice shirt, tucking it in, and trying to be presentable, Im generally not in a sketchy part of town.

Was that from my wife or the fire ants?

The ants. I didn’t get to meet your wife. If i had, I would’ve blessed her and told her what a saint she was

I always carry 2 spare mags most of the time in a double mag pouch, sometimes in a cargo pocket.

If I am carrying my Shield 9, it has an 8 round mag and I will usually carry 2 spares 8 rounders in a Kytex carrier. If I am carrying my PCR or P-01, one spare 14 round mag in a Kytex carrier

One extra mag always in a cargo pocket, or hip pocket on Sunday's

With my G19, I carry one spare in my back pocket and have a couple more in my car with a couple hundred extra rounds in my go bag
Same here, one in the pocket and a shit ton in the truck. Don't piss me off while i'm on the way home!

I carry either a G43 or G19 AIWB in a sidecar style holster. One mag in the gun & one in the sidecar.

Carry a Alloy BHP or a Sphinx SDP subcompact in a Milt Sparks VMII and a spare mag on the left side.

If I throw the LCP into the pocket then I throw a spare one into the left pocket.

Honestly speaking I have gotten to where I have my Glock 43 with a plus one extension on the mag. I carry a New York reload in the form of my M&P bodyguard 380. My reasoning is two fold. One, if my primary gets taken, or damaged or otherwise out of the fight, I have something to fall back to. Two, if my wife (while rare) is not carrying or her weapon(bg380 of her own) has a malfunction she can utilize one weapon and back me up whole defending herself. I do keep a spare mag for our BG 380’s handy in our vehicles. I do not as of yet have any extra mags for my G43 other than what came with it. So once that changes I will most likely carry s spare mag then for it.

I carry a Shield 9mm with the 8 round mag and one extra 7 round mag in my front weak side pocket.

I always have at least one spare mag on me...either in an OWB carrier, in my my pocket with a NeoMag clip. Also try to keep two or three additional spares in the vehicle if traveling.

I always carry a spare reload, whether for revolver, pistol or rifle. Depends on which gun I'm carrying moment. Mini revolver has a few loose rounds and not shown is the spare mag holder for the CZ75 below. Smith 442 Pro revolver even thou is cut for moon clips I usually have a FLAT speedstrip in the pocket.

I religiously carry at least one reload for any pistol or rifle; you're trusting your life to a mechanical device with lots of ways to go wrong with the weapon, ammo, or the mag. Much easier to dump the mag and reload than to try to fix the mag or ammo since it's your only one.
But, I recognize it's a personal preference thing for me and don't judge others for what they do. Kinda like caliber choice, weaponlights vs hh flashlights and/or night sights; go with what works for you and what your "insides" tells you to do.
