ELEY partners with Civilian Marksmanship Program offers bulk pack .22lr

Got an email last week about this. Just have no idea how good it is. The price seems decent. I shoot Target, Match and Force out of my Anschutz. They are not cheap. Would love to find something a little bit cheaper, but I am not willing to give up accuracy.

Where do you excercise that Anschutz? I've got a couple of Winchester fitty-tooz that need exorcism.

I got the same email and checked it out. I also shoot the ELEY Match when I'm looking for accuracy and consistency. Have not seen enough difference with Tennex to justify extra $. I checked the ELEY site and it looks like the ELEY Sport which they say is marketed as "Target" in the USA is also a 1090 fps so it might be that. I tried the Target once and didn't find it to be any better than CCI standard in my rifle (CZ 455) but as we know 22 rifles are all different and what's great in one rifle might suck in another. Not sure if I'd want to try a $350/5000 round experiment ... especially when I can get CCI Standard at the same price and I know that's great in my pistols :)

I tried the CCI standard and it just was not good. Now in my Stephens 416 X barrel it is great. There are two different Eley Target here in the U.S. I do not remember the exact details, but I believe the one is marked Remington Eley or something like that. I also could not justify the price of Tennex. I believe the Match is very close to Tennex even on indoor test. I tried the Eley Force this past time out and I love it when the wind is up. I will wait a while and see what people have to say about the CMP Eley. Hopefully meet someone who buys it and I can get to try it out. Don't mind paying for a brick, but like you I can not see getting 5000 rds for something I may not like.
