enclose carport without making it narrower?

Man, with a slight bit more work you could make a Faraday cage out of it!

When the EMP hits and I've got the last working pickup in the RTP area, I'll be recruiting for my technical crew. Watch for the smoke signals.

Project complete. I had 2 full 4x8 sheets of siding left over from the barn from years ago (back when siding was cheap enough that it wasn't worth taking back to Home Depot to get a refund!) so I used those to enclose the top. Had to get two more 1x4s to run along the inside, and ended up ripping 1" off each to use as the lower trim on the outside. The unpainted but primed weathered surface sorta matches the dirty putty colored roof so the wife says to just leave it. Unless it's a rotting problem, I'm leaving it.

Sweeps along the bottom are scrap indoor/outdoor carpet. Not too much of it is square, it's following along with the metal of the carport. No one really cares though, the squirrels won't notice.
