What’s the best choice out there for an enclosed emitter RDS? Pistol applications.

I have a 509t and really like it. If you use it for a gun that requires a plate anyways it's a pretty good choice. I run mine on a tx22 comp and with a chpws plate ( junk) it actually mounted a little bit lower than other optics I tried.

On a slide milled specifically for an RMR I did not like the extra height of the plate and switched to an open emitter 508t. In this circumstance I think I would go with the eps that was suggested above.

For a closed emitter your choices are the Aimpoint ACRO V2, Holosun 509T, EPS or the Steiner MPS. I haven’t seen enough data on the Steiner to make it a viable option, plus the battery life is garbage. So I would go Holosun or Aimpoint, and honestly I would probably choose tve EPS just to not have to use that wonky mounting system of the ACRO or 509.

I’ll likely go with whichever offers the larger window. My use case is Run n Gun and night matches, not CCW.

Does anyone know how if the stock suppressor height sights on M&P 9 2.0 optics ready would still be usable with a Holsun EPS?
The only optic I’ve seen NOT work with suppressor height sights is the Delta Point Pro. While I haven’t verified the exact combo you’re inquiring about, I feel confident saying it will work just fine.

I had a pretty poor experience with their shipping. Had to call a few times to get the dang thing shipped. Eventually I had to say something like "will you please personally go ship it out" before I got it. that guy actually did go mail it.

Then it didn't fit. I had to take a file to it to make the 509t fit onto the plate. At around $80 for such a small piece it was disappointing to have to modify it.

I have a c&h in my m&p I was hoping to have to file it tbh so it would be tighter. This plate is alittle loose but drops right in.

I've met Buck Holly at 17 south and he mounted a scope on my rifle for me. They are good people but are wildly behind. The shop in Richmond Hill is pretty small. It doesn't seem they planned to be so popular.

I've been hearing a good bit about 509's having issues with moisture intrusion. Not sure if the eps has similar issues.

I haven't heard about this at all. Do you have some links?

I think these two reviews discuss it if I remember correctly, the guys over at Barrel and Hatchet have also had a lot of problems with their 509s
