Eric Church. Done went crazy.

Church considers himself a second amendment guy... well, Mr. Church, if you can be considered a second amendment guy with the BS you are spewing, then I can consider myself the King of England... and I would be just as correct...

The "Desperate Man" singer said the NRA has "been a bit of a roadblock."

"I don't care who you are - you shouldn't have that kind of power over elected officials. To me it's cut-and-dried: The gun-show [loophole] would not exist if it weren't for the NRA, so at this point in time, if I was an NRA member, I would think I had more of a problem than the solution," Church argued. "I would question myself real hard about what I wanted to be in the next three, four, five years."

so... no blame on the POS congressmen who take the money from the lobbyists... it is the lobbyists fault that the greedy bass turds took the money...

Gun show loophole.... these idiots keep on spouting their lies ad infinitum... you are a tool, Mr. Church... go back and hang out with your liberal hollywood crowd...

I would love to see his response if someone where to blame him for alcoholism. I mean, you sing about it, you write about it, you make money off it, that means you are responsible; right? Or blame country in general because they are pushing the tailgate, beer drinking, summer time, party lifestyle.

Sucks because I really like his music. One of about 3 acts I would have paid to see. Guess not anymore.

Remember,
He considers himself a 2A guy.
Be careful of sneaky creeps like this.
They will claim pro 2A status, and work vehemently behind the scenes to take away my, your, and their rights.

Hogg Boy tried the same thing. He joined the NRA so he could claim “as an NRA member, I think...”

A friend of mine has a Condo in Linville Ridge where Eric Church has a beautiful house and guess what....armed security guard patrolling the property.

This is what happens when dumba$$es are allowed to express their asinine opinions

It's called liberty...freedom of expression and I fully support his right to express himself in a manner of his choosing, no matter how much I disagree or how misguided I believe he is.

That said....

Choices have consequences. When you are an entertainer and make statements that will, most likely, alienate your fan base, it's a poor business decision and I believe this one will prove costly for him.

In my personal opinion, I believe he's pretty much a turd, but the world's full of them.

I have never heard any of his stuff.

The three songs he had that I liked and I normally hate this kind of country were creeping, put a drink in my hand and drink a little drink smoke a little smoke.

You couldn’t tune into a country station without hearing them a couple years ago and damn near every sporting event or large gathering played drink in my hand. It was like the red solo cup song.

I agree Wsfiredude,
Perhaps I misspoke.
I ABSOLUTELY believe in his right to say whatever he wants to say, that is indeed Liberty.
However I ABSOLUTELY believe that when someone says something like this, our fabric and freedoms are weekened.
Now, if every time someone said something like this, and then immediately someone punched them in the face...

Oh, I agree 100% with your assessment that he's a class A dumba** expressing asinine opinions...you were dead-on with that.

As for our fabric and freedoms being weakened, IMO, that blade's got two edges...

Yeah, all of us are encumbered by the yoke of tyranny to some degree. But, for those who choose daily to live as free people, their liberty can only be weakened via choices made by the person they stare at in the mirror. No actor, actress, entertainer or really, any politician, can have any appreciable influence over a free man.

I mean it like this;
When someone insists that there are 74 proper gender pronouns, punch them in the face.

When someone (without a confirmed diagnosis of celiac disease) talks about being gluten free,
Punch them in the face.

When some hipster sports a man bun,
Punch them in the face.

When a celebrity uses their fame as a soapbox to discuss complex issues that they are not bonified experts in (aka most of hollywood, most of the time)
Punch them in the face.

Anything, ever, that has been uttered allowed in “The view”
Punch them in the face.

I see this not even as an American freedom, but as a human freedoms,
As in “your behavior is weakening the human race as a whole, and if aliens are watching and they see that crap, they will definitely blow us up”

Thank you! I just did a great gut laugh for the first time this week. Your post likely lowerd my blood pressure by 100 points.

Church said. "I saw a video on YouTube from the police officer's vest cam, and it sounded like an army was up there. I don't think our forefathers ever thought the right to bear arms was that."

Actually, Mr Church, that's exactly what they were thinking about.

Interesting side note. He may not be wealthy enough to actually own a home up there. That place is owned by stupid rich people. There are a small number of people that own multiple houses in there and lease them out. I used to deliver in there and got to talking to one of the owners about another owner. It was eye opening. Grandfather CC across the road is even stranger. Think HOA but worse, they can control who buys a house in there not the owner. I have a friend of a friend that was not allowed to purchase a house because he was "not rich enough."

There may be some backlash for him from the Country music fans I hope. I don't believe GM,Ford or Nascar is to blame for someone driving drunk .
He's an idiot.

Goes back to my post/rant the other day about meeting the heavy construction equipment sales rep and seeing his true colors...

They've infiltrated our ranks. Heck...let me be so bold as to say I'd bet serious monopoly money that there are some reading this very forum that identify as "gun people" who have gun control thought tendencies. I guaran-damn-tee it.
