Ok, I've have plenty of respect for the Henry .22's. They're made decent, reports have been good and I've handled a few in the stores, but I've never been motivated to buy one. I mean, I've got .22's. It's always been, yeah, maybe one day I'll get one.
Well, I was in Hyatt's the other day and happened across the Evil Roy. This may have to be my next purchase...

I'll swing by to take a look, thanks for the heads up. I will say that it isn't the rifle that Evil Roy is holding on Henry's website (blued barrel band and different buttstock profile).

Yeah, I've got three of the Henry .22 rifles but I'd like this one as well!

I've owned two of the 22lr lever models, both were very cheaply made.
Plastic bbl band & front sight.
Zinc receiver cover painted with what looked like spray paint.
The wood may have been real, but I think it was pressed particle board with veneer.

In my opinion, they should cost much less.
If your looking for an heirloom quality 22lr levergun, look at a Browning BL22 or a Marlin 39.

Maybe they have other models that are made with better materials?

Ok, pile on.
I know some of you are Henry fans.

i don't see what these having going for them, does anyone shoot 22s/l?

22 lever actions (mostly all) feed from a tube. I think there is a single shot lever action out there.
The Marlin and Brownings are much nicer guns.

The Browning BL22 with the maple stock gives me wood. Nothing like a good hard wood. Stock.

I've been looking at one of these for weeks, the light-colored stock is growing on me slowly, but it's no 1960's Mountie.
