Army Regulation 27-10
Chapter 5. Procedures for Courts-Martial
Section I. General
5-2. Courts-martial Jurisdiction
b. Personal Jurisdiction
(3) Retirees.
Retired members of a regular component of the Armed Forces who are entitled to pay are subject to the UCMJ. (See Art. 2(a)(4), UCMJ.) Retirees are subject to the UCMJ and may be tried by court-martial for violations of the UCMJ that occurred while they were on active duty or, while in a retired status.

Had a buddy of mine that had been out for a long while
He was in a South American country during the drug war.
He was called back to Bragg for shit done back then.
He got out easy, so far. That was 10 years or so ago.

I don't care if a retired flag officer says Trump should be hanged for treason. They are retired, and no longer serving at the pleasure of the military. IN uniform is an entirely different matter.
As long as it’s applied equally across the board. I dont want a Retired Flag Officer saying what He wants and they bust a Senior NCO for the same thing!

I agree, in uniform, standards across the board. Out of uniform, it should be a free-fire zone.

I understand that UCMJ loophole; it was created to allow government recompense against people who did bad things, got out, started drawing bennies, and then the government found out about the bad things they did. It wasn't meant to be a muzzle for the duration of one's life.
