Explosion at Manchester Arena during concert

British Transport Police confirmed the blast came from "within the foyer area of the stadium at 10.30pm this evening".

So maybe someone detonated before they could get through security? Pure speculation. For all I know, it was a gas pipe explosion.

Looking like a bomb. At least 19 killed and another 50 injured; it will probably take a while to figure casualties from the blast vs those from being trampled as people sought to GTFO. Of course, if you're targeting a crowded enclosed space, part of your calculation is that trampling will enhance the effect of the explosives.

Clinton News Network desperately hoping perp is Christian. Hell, even atheist will do. Just anything besides Muslim.

Rumor of another bomb in the metro station. Good strategy. Bomb the stadium and then get people as they flee to escape. Or it could be some awesome concert pyrotechnics.

There's a history of IRA (Irish Revolution) attacks in Manchester. Wonder if the perps looked like Irishmen?

The way the world has gotten, there had better be a mighty good reason to be in any crowd at this time. Prayers to all the victims and their families as well as one for the capture and punishment of those who were involved in making it happen.

If I remember correctly Miss Grande has a very low opinion of Americans. Wonder if her world view will be changed at all. My guess is there were no Americans involved. Wild guess, but I'm going with it.

That's what they did at the bombings in Bali circa 2002. Blew up the bar and everyone runs outside and they've got a big secondary waiting.

Pretty common tactic; basically I don't want to be mingling around where first responders are gonna show up (its counter intuitive BUT the bombers count on it). Faster you get focused the better off you'll be.

I am thinking if you survive the first bomb, stay in place or run to the chaos. Seems trying to get distance always ends poorly. Either in stampedes or a secondary attack.

Time to pull out the long duster and setup the PDW pistol style so the CHP covers it! Boys, if this turns out to be a muslim thing you know it is only a matter of time before we see it here at a similar event ... the Boston Marathon Part 2?

This is childs play. NOTE: That comment is not intended to make light of this terrible act. I'm really surprised that it's been over 15 years since 9/11 and there hasn't been another terrorist attack resulting in massive casualties and thousands of deaths in this country or any other. All of the tools necessary for such an event are out there and the perfect circumstances are in place for it to occur, and have been for some time now.
