Looking making my first F1 can, wanting a direct thread 45 cal.

Would like to be take it up to something like the 450 bushmaster, 458, 45/70 power of loads, but will mainly be on a 45acp AR.

What size and material would be the best, or solvent trap sizing?

Or should I go with a mounting system from another manufacturer and go that route?

Is what I’m thinking

I can’t imagine using the can I’d want for a 45acp AR on a 458/45-70...or vice versa.

Not the same size, weight or material.

Something like this...

Shortish and fat. 2 SS and 5 Ti radials. Would need to buy spacers and also figure out if you’re going DT or 3-lug or something else.

You could even go aluminum tube & ends and/or all SS baffles if you wanted. Lots of flexibility for .45 without a booster.

Or even go all aluminum like one of these complete kits:
