Imagine my surprise, seeing this fact-based article on the WRAL website:

"In a Rose Garden event, President Joe Biden announced several actions his administration will take to address what he called an "epidemic" of gun violence.

Biden repeated his call for Congress to pass legislation to expand background checks. The House voted largely along party lines to pass a pair of background check bills this year, but they haven’t moved forward in the Senate.

"These bills, one, require background checks for anyone purchasing a gun at a gun show or an online sale," Biden said at the April 8 event. "Most people don't know it, you walk into a store and you buy a gun, you have a background check. But you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want, and no background check." "

"We rate Biden’s statement Mostly False."
states the article.

The article goes on to say that Biden's statements on this issue are exaggerated (not factual) as we already know but it does give some statistics to use in any gun-show loophole type discussions.

Don't be surprised at more criticism of Biden by the liberal media; they have to begin building the case that Biden's growing dementia requires that he be replaced by Harris.

Liberals/progressives have never been able to tell the truth about their pet issues.

Voter ID is racist?
No background check whatsoever for gun purchases?
Global cooling, then global warming, then climate change?

They can't win in the arena of ideas on a level playing field. So they have to tilt the field via manipulation and deception.

My own father is a great example. He's a Vietnam are Marine vet who was pretty much a conservative until MSNBC got to him several years ago. We can't discuss politics anymore. Every time I ask him HOW something is "racist" or for PROOF of climate change he starts yelling Fox News or (up until recently Rush Limbaugh or any number of things that have nothing to do with tue question.

Liberal leaders feed them crap and convince them that a search for the truth is racist or ignorant.

Do what I did with my Vietnam era Army vet father. Get him listening to Joe Rogan podcasts. Joe's amoderate lefty, but he brings on guests who are conservative or conservative leaning. It makes for a way to get issues discussed in a way that he'll listen...then you'll find a little more common ground. When my old man heard Jordan Petersen the first time on Rogan he called me and asked about the whole gender and gender language and hate speech thing. Colion Noir on Rogan along with some Navy SEAL guest turned my dad from Fudd into 2nd supporter.

This has been my observation as well - an exponential increase in the rate at which formerly reasonable people reject any doubt, misgiving or question about The Holy Prevailing Narrative.

And that's tuebweirdest part. They have no idea how to think critically or answer questions. That part is obvious

But the part where they become offended at the very idea that you would even ASK questions is..... well, it's weird.

I have strong conservative (more accurately Constitutionalist/Originalist) views. I WELCOME challenges to my beliefs. I'm HAPPY to (in a civil manner) back up my beliefs. In fact, I see it as an opportunity to bring another onto the tent.

But my father will lose his mind at the very QUESTION "How is voter ID racist?" He just says "Of course it is! Jim Crow! Racist Republicams don't want black people voting! Poll tax!!!" But he can't begin to explain to me how it is that a black person is less capable of gaining access to a (free in most states) ID.

WEIRD.
