Fallout Amazon Series

This kind of sucks. I lost a ton of nuka world and far harbor weapons and armor. Marine combat armor gone. Fancy 7.62 gone. Nuka nuke bombs gone. 5k rounds of 7.62 gone. It's like I moved to the northeast.

Waiting on the Fallout 76 update. They've increased the map size to the south according to what I've seen described on the test servers.
I've been trying to explore more now I made level 20 but I just keep getting kerb stomped by packs of Super Mutants. Walked to go try and find a way into the dam since I am working on that quest and seven or eight just rushed me.

A shame because I had a bunch of much needed screws and springs, but I got wasted trying to recover from my corpse so they're gone.

Do your daily and weekly quests and get to Level 50. At that point, you can craft and use the best gear and weapons available. Join public teams for the XP boost as well.

So pretty much ignore the primary and sides until I hit 50? I need to figure out what sort of build to go for too,

I'm pistol and shotgun generic bonus build right now.

There's no shortage of events/quests/lootable junk/junkable items to recoup your loss, and you're going to have many losses lol.

Focus in your perks for crafting/upgrading/repairing ranged weapons, and stacking damage increase perk cards for your weapon type of choice. The Bloodied weapon modifier will make you unstoppable especially as you level up. I'm to the point now I can take down scorched beasts by myself, albeit bullet sponge gunplay, but with enough stimpacks and swapping perk stacks to anti armor, I can down most boss enemies solo in a few minutes. (I'm level 116 by the way, so it does take time and higher level to stack the right perks and such)

Certain sides/mains are easier than others, but you can level up so quickly its probably worth it to just level up first.

I have bloodied heavy and bloodied commando builds, with the latter being what I use 90% of the time. I have Fixers and railways that absolutely melt with critical chance hits being a focus. This is tougher to pull off early on before you get good armor, though.

In case you hadn't noticed...

Thanks, that's really helpful. I'd forgotten that was a thing since I've been playing modded Fo4 with no trash gathering for years lol

Sometimes the robot merchants sell Bulk Springs and whatnot. At higher levels caps are just an annoyance since you're constantly hitting the cap cap of 40,000 so buying things like Bulk Whatever makes sense.

If I get to 30 and still want to play I may get 1st for the Atoms and the storage. I keep reading abijt folks with storage issues lol

FO4 update brought an easy to find and obtain X02 power armor. That's frustrating because I had to grind to get to level 49 and earn the fully upgraded power armor I'd been using to this point. Now there's something better that's basically given to you.

There's also some new weapons that are seriously powerful. Seems like they maybe didn't calibrate the 5.56 guns properly because I'm getting one and two shot kills with a rifle that used to need repeated hits to down an enemy.

They librulized it, designed to be an equivalent of a nuclear bomb that kills a bunch of people really fast with a shoulder thingy that goes up.

A New Vegas open world game would be a nightmare lol

Player controlled legion teams running around crucifying everyone.

Deathclaws. Everywhere.

10,000,000 people all waiting their turn to shoot Benny in the face.

Player controlled Securitron armies after they oust Mr House.

Endless pc hookers on the Strip wanting caps to cyber.

Me in 2 weeks time: all achievements unlocked on Nightmare difficulty.

I ruined fresh play throughs of New Vegas for myself with Nexus mods and console commands.

Last time I booted a new play through without mods, I last like an hour before loading the game down with mods again 🤣

At this point I'd need an always online New Vegas to play it like a normal person again lol.
