Fallout Amazon Series

Don't worry. Amazon will find a way to crap on everything about Fallout you cared about. I mean they melanin boosted subterranean dwarves just to tick off The Message checklist.
wait, they made the filthy gross people minorities? isn't that racist?

Walton Goggins plays “The Ghoul.” The Ghoul survives the wasteland as a Bounty Hunter. He is pragmatic, ruthless, and hides a mysterious past.

OK, now I'm excited for this.
So The Mandalorian but in Fallout?

Well the creators are already talking about the show containing "heavy social commentary." Lucy is going to "moralize to viewers." Hopefully they don't go full retard. It will also be considered a part of the canon.

If you figure that each of the vaults, including VTU, was designed as a clandestine and sinister social experiment, they could really run with this if they want to. Unfortunately, they'll probably take it as an opportunity to push "woke" crap.

Vault XXXY: the all trans vault.

Vault 69 should be fun if they have the balls to go there, and by extension Vault 68 too.

There’s a teaser on Amazon prime now.

Saw Walter goggins so that’s a plus.

I'm a little squeamish that the first lines spoken are someone talking about their privilege (basically). At first the fact that the vault people are portrayed as morons in the 5 seconds we see each of them put me back but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be as they are just transported suburbanites stuck in a bubble. As long as we move past that, shouldn't be anything but back story.

I did like that they mentioned The Boys as their claim to fame and not rings of power or wheel of time. Go with the good show with an original-ish story line vs. destroyed properties.

As far as the lore of the games go, the vaults were primarily for a wide variety of human experimentation and full of unbeknown test subjects for the various purposes of the individual vaults. So, your take is pretty close to the original lore.

Whether they acknowledge that in the show or not, is yet to be determined...but there is so much lore on vault experiments that it would be a severely missed opportunity if they just portray vaults and Vault Tec as safe places intended to do nothing more than sustain life. I'm fairly certain Vault 76 from Fallout 76 was the only vault on record that wasn't much of an experiment, and was only ever intended to house life for 200 years until the door opened on "Reclamation Day". Even then still, the experiment was to keep the dewellers in for 200 years. So really, if they don't portray them that way, then it's just being completely inaccurate lol

Vault 76 was only in use for 25 years. Vault 101 and 86(?) from FO4 were in operation for ~200 years.

Ok. It still looks really good but her character seems a bit Magoo instead of the hell bent on finding her daughter and avenging her murdered husband character of the game.

Love Walter Goggins as one of the intelligent ghouls. Perfect character for him to play IMO.

I don’t think it’s based off Fallout 4. It’s an entirely new vault and story line.

I think it looks great, and the plot hints/characters/atmosphere all seem good so far. Worst case we get lucky with atleast the first season not being a woke mess, and like most shows it goes downhill further for every season after.

Hope that's not the case, it sure wouldn't be in sync with Fallout tradition as a franchise.

I misread, I thought the op said today’s the day. My brain is in a fog, stayed home sick today.

they moved the release up to late tonight. 8 or 9pm
all 8 episodes
I plan to do very little on friday, my day off work

So worried this is going to be woke. No issues with the female protagonist (because it's always been a part of the game), and of course we're already seeing the "diverse cast". Just hoping they keep it there and keep the story solid. Hollywood and the valley have destroyed gaming and movies over the past decade. This is the only game franchise I can truly say I've out right loved, even Fallout 76. I've barely played any video games since. Man, I sure hope they do this justice.

I’m gonna watch it for sure. Wasn’t a fan of the games (barely played any of them) but the trailers looked really good.
