Favorite "Cheap" Beer

"Red and white, dynamite" for the mountain cretins here:)

Reminds me of a lil diddy.

"B double E double R U N" beer run.

"B double E double R U N" Beeeeer runnnn!

"All we need is a $10 and a $5 and a car and a key and a sober driver"

"B double E double R U N" Beer run:cool:

When I still played ice hockey on an adult league up north, we had a dude that would sing that every time he carried the puck. Funniest stuff ever...little guy flying up ice, skating circles around everyone singing "beer run!" At top,of his lungs.

Unfortunately, you can only get it from the walmart in fayetteville around here. My wife picks it up for me, but I wouldn't want to go to walmart...
i've gone back to drinking high life, which is sweeter, cheaper, and all around less good. Lately i've been drinking a good beer or two, and following up with highlife once i care less.

I should have added to my original post...i no longer drink cheap beer. Dont drink often enough to have a need for it.. need good IPAs for the win.
My grandad was a professional beerist. Man ran on beer. Ironic what finally got him was lung/heart issues from secondhand smoke (grandma), not a pickled liver.

Anyway...when he'd visit my place, he'd always give me crap about my "fancy beer." This thread is damn near a memorial to his favorite beers: Bud Natural Ice, Old Milwaukee, Busch, etc. Piss water! Id have Sam Adams, Highland Brewing, and some other good beers when he'd show up. He'd nurse one of them all through the evening and dinner. Don't know if it was the "richer" taste or what.

I'll take Hamm's or PBR for lawnmower beer over any of the A-B, Miller, or Coors products. I keep some of both in the crisper drawers of the garage fridge.

Hamm's isn't easy to find around here, so I just pick up a 30-pack at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati when we go up to visit our daughter at grad school.

The only other beer I keep around on a regular basis is AMB Longleaf.

PBR is my go-to cheap beer. Its the only cheap beer that actually tastes like beer to me.

If I'm spending a little more, I drink Blue Moon.

Most of the time I drink IPA's. Goose Island, Hoppium, and Ranger IPA are my current favorites.

Where did you find the Iron City? My mom's husband is from Pittsburgh. He brings back a couple cases when he goes home.
Not around here, lol...I work with a guy that has family up there and he gets me case when he goes up

Amber: Killians, Sam Adams
Dark: Big Boss Bad Penny, High Wire Bed of Nails

The amber ones have a nice edge to them, and the dark ones are hearty without being too stout w/too much coffee taste.

Those are all cheap relative to the crowd I hang out with that are into all the foofoo beers.

Can't stand Guinness BTW, as a point of reference. ;)

I like Killian's!!

I don't drink much at this stage of my life, but when I was a drinker, I bought whatever was on sale at the local grocery store.

I don't recall seeing Yuengling mentioned..... I had a few of them tonight.

Hamm's and Genesee (western NY)....

Just found out that Total Wine & More located in Cary (Crossroads Shopping Center) has Genesee, Genesee Light, Iron City and Iron City Light in stock...strangely I didn't see any Hamm's on their inventory list.

Next time I am over that way I will pick some up. By wife is from Buffalo so I pick up a few cases when I am up that way. They had a 30-pack for, like, $15.
