If you ever go to Goldsboro for any reason and want great NY style pizza try Brooklyn Pizza,
Pinewood Square, 912 N Spence Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

Not only are they very large, they're best pizza around.

for crabcakes, hands down, Rockefeller's in Myrtle Beach, SC

makes me salivate just thinking about their homemade tartar sauce and lemon squeezed on top of those beauties.

HP - Tipsy's Tavern. Amazing burgers, I suggest the "All Jacked Up"

Lexington - Shotos. Japanese, good environment, bar upstairs run by a really nice guy named Jimmy.

WS - Metas. Its downtown across from the courthouse, Soul Food. Best cornbread Ive ever had! Odd hours, pretty much just lunch time.

Those are just a few quick ones, I'll add more later.

Bibs BBQ in WS.
Its not Eastern or Western style, its something in between. But, hot dang, it is GOOD!

Speedys BBQ in Lexington for some great Lexington-style bbq. I would recommend Lexington BBQ, but they have a gunbuster up, or at least they did last time I was there.

Blake's restaurant in Candor is some great southern cooking, right off the 73/74 220 bypass. Be warned though, it's a cash only place. They do have an atm inside though.

Two great places to eat in D.C. -- Old Ebbitt Grill and We The Pizza

I am really lucky that my wife likes the food and .15 shrimp at Iron Thunder.
We both go way to often. Girls in their underwear is a good thing even if the food wasn't good.

Since I cannot eat at Nana's all the time, I have grown very fond of Johnson Family Barbecue on Highway 98, east of Durham. As they say, "It's the wood."

The whiskey kitchen in Raleigh is awesome. Huge whiskey selection. Decent open atmosphere and the lamb burger is hands down the best burger I have ever had in my mouth.

Had the brisket at Camel City BBQ Factory this afternoon while waiting for our band to go on. Falling apart tender. Not real fatty. The sauce is NOT Texas style; more a sweet sauce but not bad. BBQ slaw was good. Fried okra was good. I need to try the pulled pork next time. I've heard good things about it.

Just found this place for great Pizza!

Novanta 90 Pizzeria Napoletana
120 Langtree Village Dr #102, Mooresville, NC 28117

Upscale but still casual, great food and service...

Amos Mosquito's in Atlantic Beach has really good food, but don't try to go there at peak hours in the summer.

The Hope Valley Brewing Company in Durham has a fried chicken sammich that you'll keep going back for (until you are fat and have to go on the Keto diet)

Went to Black Chicken coffee in Lexington today for the first time - was pretty good. Tasty coffee, and, on a day like this, there is lots of room on the front porch to enjoy your beverage and/or snack/treat.

I had the cream cheese danish and it was the best one Ive ever had. Lots of cream cheese, nice and fresh

This list is for people that can get around a little. So maybe it will help someone if they are taking a trip to a place I've frequented:

Metropolitan Grill - Seattle, WA; Steaks, cocktails and great wines in an old school style streakhouse with dark wood. Since it is Seattle it also has excellent seafood. Think a big improvement on Ruth's Chris or Sullivan's and you are in the ball park. Blue cheese topped ribeye is my go to although filet oscar is pretty darn good. This place accounted for at least one of my blocked arteries.

Ringside Steakhouse - Portland, OR; Old school as in 50's style steakhouse. Nothing fancy. Onion rings are the sleeper here. Get them.

Ho Chow's - Fremont, CA; Awesome Chinese food in the East Bay. No need to go to SF. Think PF Changs but better. Americanized with real nice cuts of meat.

Ker's Winghouse - All over Florida especially Orlando area; Hooters but with much better wings and skimpier outfits. Leave your wife at home. She'll likely hate it. 4 of us once ate 140 wings, 2 apps and were forced to take cabs home.

Charlie's Steakhouse - Florida - Steaks cooked over a very high temp mesquite wood grill. Awesome steaks and seafood. Not real fancy either. Might be my favorite streakhouse. Wife and daughter claim their Red Velvet cake is the best ever. I don't know about that, but I have probably expensed a couple thousand dollars of wine there. At least.

Southstreet - Nashville, TN; Over on the west side of town by Vanderbilt U. Southern food and barbecue. My standby is the pumped chicken. 1/2 marinated chicken. Best ever. Ribs are good and the marinated flank steak is stellar. Try to get a table upstairs. Open treehouse built around a tree with a cool fireplace. Oh, they have good beer selection also.

Broadway Brewhouse - Nashville, TN; Brewhouse, you got that right? Lots of beer on tap. Including some strange frozen drink popular in Nashville that reminds me of a white russian. Can't remember what it is called since I've never left this place walking normally or thinking logically. Strange mix of cajun and Mexican food. Tacos, burritos, chips and salsa's. Cucumber salsa is a staple here. Wings and some sandwiches too. And beer. Lots of beer. Very cool little fly fishing shop is next door, and there is a hot chicken place across street. I often start at the Brewhouse, wander up to Southstreet for dinner, and then cap off the night back at the Brewhouse. Good luck.

Rippy's - Nashville, TN; Downtown across street from arena where they play hockey. Big bar with large open upstairs. Decent bar food and barbecue. Great place to have a few drinks and apps. Great atmosphere.

Havana Cafe - West Jefferson, NC; Cubans. Cuban food. Good bread. I order chicken vaca frita. Marinated chicken with a citrus flavor finished on the grill. Sauteeed onions on top with beans and plantians. Stuffed pepper is good when they have it. Tiny place with few seats on Backstreet.

Coyote Kitchen - Boone, NC; Over by the Walmart. Nice mix of funky Mexican food. Tacos, burritos, bowls and boats. Bottled beers in house. Chips and salsa. Big portions. 2 tacos is perfect for me. Small little place hidden in a strip mall.

Dinosaur Barbecue - Syracuse, NY; Also places in Harlem and Rochester but they are corporate creations and not the original. Not sure why anyone would end up in Syracuse on purpose but if you get stuck there this is the place to go. Started by a few bikers that got married and couldn't travel to all the bike shows anymore. Key guy took a year to travel from NY to Miami and learn about barbecue. Ribs are awesome. Brisket is perfect. Pork is not Eastern Style, but they put slaw on it for you. Specials can be incredible. Thick smoked pork chops can be great when they have it. Catfish strips app is a problem. Don't fill up on them. Drunken Shrimp! Smoked sausages. Damn. Decent beer selections and blues bands at night. Small and can have long lines and wait times. I usually just have beer at the bar until a table is ready. Usually standing up. Waitress's are mostly fine biker ladies with thick skins. Only barbecue place I've seen that can touch it for all around food is in Texas, but this place has it all. Smoked wings are very good. Devil's Duel sauce will light you up. But you'll live. There is also a habenero b'cue sauce that is very good. Parking sucks nearby also. Be prepared to drive around until you stumble on the lot a block or two away.

That is it for now. Might add more if the mood and memory allows.

Fork and Cork in downtown Wilmington. Stuffed and roasted jalapeños called rattlesnake bites were delicious. Lamb burger was the best I've ever had. Stone delicious IPA capped off the meal. Highly recommended!

San Jose, Ellas, I'm all in with you and they're great. What is served at American Hero? I've never been there.

American Hero is a sub shop in Loris -- across the street from Fowler's, Hardee's & BoJangle's.
Three times the meet of Subway...and much better bread. Alex, the owner, is a hoot too. Stop in sometime!

Harvest Restaurant in Comanche, TX. High end dining in a small Texas town. We hit Sunday brunch and supper tonight. Maybe the best ribeye I've ever had. Compares very favorably with the Chef and Farmer in Kinston.....at a much lower price point.

Smokey's BBQ Shack - Morrisville, NC and don't expect to find parking at lunch time.
Centro - Mexican in Downtown Raleigh

I think I mentioned DeBeen coffee in High Point already, but wanted to add to it.

Two weeks ago I was in there in the evening, which Ive only done a time or two before, and noticed the barista wearing a Beretta tee.
Now, mind you, this wasnt your stereotypical barista. About 40 years of age, beard, not wearing skinny jeans etc (not that theres anything wrong with that, I hate baggy clothes).
I asked him, is the shirt because youre a fan or being ironic?
Thats when it started...we ended up talking about 92s for about 20 minutes. And other guns.
While we were talking another guy walked up for a cup and joined in.

Good to see shooters in industries that you wouldnt expect...like a coffee shop thats typically full of yoga people or HPU students.

AND, sorry, to add - the owner of Perfect Blend was at a recent Friends of NRA banquet I attended. Again, not the stereotypical people in those industries - awesome.

Barry's Cafe in south Cary NC

Great breakfast/lunch joint. Close at 3PM
They really support Firefighters and other first responders. Barry died very recently.
I had a great breakfast there this morning.

Village Grill in Lexington
They have breakfast and lunch/dinner, thought Ive never had their breakfast.
Its country cooking sort of stuff with the typical Greek dishes that come with a lot of 'country' restaurants around...so many are Greek owned.

Big portions, low price, tasty food - I'd recommend it.

Con Con's in Bowling Green has awesome breakfast, just ask @gunbelt , Spring Valley in Greensboro has the best sausage gravy biscuits around. For dinner I like Pavilion.

doughboys up in the rosewood walmart plaze on 70w is also pretty good, but i'd rate brooklyn just a bit higher.
