The C&E gun show in Fayetteville, NC is this weekend. We'll be there, as usual.

Anyone else going?

Might be Sunday. Not sure if I can find where it is. I have to google and mapquest. I only know Evo. Ink and Jim's.....lol. Are you going on Sunday?
 
With the proper motivation and the correct application of medication I can move mountains. Which is good 'cause I ain't no small guy. ;)
 
Anyone want to meet up for a bite to eat and some tall tales and outright lies?
 
Is it worth going? I've never been.i heard they don't sell powder there because of restrictions So is mostly just local venders selling their store? Or is it worth it to go.

I have noooo idea, I'm going because it's close and I've never been to one!!! Yay.....

I live about 45 minutes away and I always had guys come into the shop when I was working at field and stream to check our prices after going there. Heard mixed reviews but wanted to hear stuff from other people
 
Show can be hit or miss, but I usually find some interesting stuff there. There will be vendors there from all over the state. Some private sales guys. Typical gun show mix these days. I like it well enough to drive 3+ hours one way to set up.

The best part of Fayetteville can be the walk-ins. You never know what will come through the door, perhaps more than any other show. I bought an exceedingly rare Lithuanian contract Mauser there a couple years ago. Guy just walked in the door with it with an astronomical price on it for a beat up Mauser. Everyone else turned up their noses, not knowing his price was a third what it was worth. I happily paid him his money.
 
Fayetteville is a good show, not as big as Raleigh or Greensboro. You are right about no powder sales "inside" the facility. You probably heard that from me. I talked to the promoter there last fall and he said it was a Fire Marshall rule that they had to follow. The same goes for primers. A very limited amount of primers inside. The last time I went, there was a reloading vendor that had a powder display set up on a board (with empty jugs) showing powder available. He said you could pay him and then follow him outside to complete the transaction, but kept the powder outside the building at all times. I was after Trail Boss and he did not have any, so I did not pursue it. That dealer was Cover Six. You can't blame the promoter for the difficulties in buying/selling powder, it is the Fire Marshall that made the rules.

Again, Fayetteville is a good show. My brother goes every time, both days, but he lives about 12 miles away. He enjoys it and sometimes finds something he has been looking for. I've been 3-4 times over the years and have bought a $30 box of small pistol primers. There are a lot of black pistols and black rifles, which is what most folks are looking for. Most any gun show of that size is worth experiencing, especially the people. Last time I was there I saw a couple of leather goods folks selling holsters, some holsters for cowboy action shooting. One of those guys, I can't remember his name, will talk your ears off. Have fun!!
 
Anyone been to the new Fullers BBQ place in Fayetteville? It's near 53 and old 95 business, which is right next to the convention center complex.

I haven't been to that particular one but they are originally from Lumberton. Try it. You won't be disappointed...... their bbq isn't that great to me but the rest of the buffet is great.
 
I've been to the old one in Lumberton many times. They had chittlins on the buffet! I used to tell some of my naive friends to try the "chicken and pastry". Bwahahaha!

If you go early, like 10 am, I'll be wandering around there somewhere, and I don't really love crowds, so I'll maybe last an hour or 2 at most! But I feel I have to at least check out one gun show in my life, right?

2. Verify funds for ticket purchase
3. Verify funds for coffee purchase
4. Verify there’s nothing more in wallet than the total of items 2 and 3.

I'm going in there with the bare minimum of stuff, so I don't have to schelpp all my usual stuff around. I want to be in and out fast! Lol.
And since I've got a new gun on order, I have no money to burn on stuff at a gun show....nice, right?
 
A new gun on order? Did I miss an episode?
 
If you shop hard, you might find the kind of ammo you prefer at a lower price than the range.

Sad being a AK guy in a AR world. Best Ak I seen was a Bulgy Cub had.

I thought I saw you, but then you weren’t there when I turned around again. I’m sorry we didn’t get to chat!

Crowd was pretty good today, but sales weren’t high volume. Still had a decent day. Picked up a nice Star PD on the way in, so that counts as my cool find for the show so far. Even had an unobtanium extra factory mag.
