Federal Gold Medal Match Primers?

Lucked into some small pistol primers today, some GM100M’s. Any real noticeable difference between these and something like the CCI500’s? For the shooting I do (range plinking), I don’t really see the need for “match” primers, and wondering if I should just load em or try to turn them into something more suited for me and pass them onto someone who needs match primers. Still fairly new to reloading, so forgive my curiosity.

Unless you shoot an Olympic pistol at 50 yards, and shoot high-Master scores, you’ll never know the difference between standard small pistol primers and match, although on certain hand primers, you can tell by the feel that they are more uniform in their seating. They are supposedly more uniform in dimensional measurement and flame-front activity.
