I know there are many avid swimmers here. So I thought I'd pass along my "RECOMMEND" vote for best jammer swim suit.
I am on my second ROKA jammer. The first lasted 11 months, and that was only because I sat down on the concrete at the edge of the pool every day. It got one tiny little hole it in.
My second is approaching a year with no fading or any sign that the seams are about to give.
No other brand I tried lasted more than 4 month.
Granted I swim 800-900 miles a year. And I wash the jammer with soap while I shower after swimming at the Y.

Ad min: Is it okay to put a link in here?
If not, got to ROKA's web site. Order yourself a ROKA Elite Jammer. You won;t regret it.

Don't bother with their caps and goggles though.

I like to swim. I don't do it for exercise but if there's a pool or pond or lake or ocean and I'm nearby, I like to bring my shorts and jump in.

The type of apparel recommended in your post, are they mainly for folks who exercise or compete?
Far almost any type of swimming. Less drag. Less water retention. So better buoyancy too. My son likes to let his board shorts ride a bit low. So I told him to start wearing a jammer under his board shorts at the beach. That way nobody has to see his Champion Sports underneath. :D

Roka's a great suit for pools; for open ocean I prefer a wetsuit because of buoyancy and heat control.

A good recommendation @fishgutzy and right on price point with similar Speedo's.

I manage to get about one year out of my Speedo Endurance suits but sadly, for my fellow swimmers at the Y, their sizing chart stops at a size 36 and these days I could use a size 38

Going to give it a try. Thanks for the post and link.

I think they just ran out of stock on the 38. That is what I have ordered in the past.
Shoot them an email and ask.

I noticed that right after my post. Will do and thanks again.

They have a buoyancy suit too. A mobile lighter than a full on wet suit shorts. They also have full triathlon wet suits.

I didn't type it how I wanted it to come out: I like Roka; their jammers for the pool, the wetsuit for open water. I have not used their wetsuit/bodysuit, but wouldn't have any problem with it.

I'm not close enough to the ocean to invest in open water gear. And the lakes around here would be suicide to try open ways swimming due to the heavy drunk boater traffic

Got a quick reply back from ROKA stating they will be re-supplying their inventory in the Spring :(

Bummer.
I wear the 38 but ordered a 36 to have a backup. I'll let you know how it fits. I'm back on the downward weight trend again anyway. Let things slip for a bit too long. Gotta get to looking like I can swim as far as I do. :D
