First Big Fire of the Year

Burning up a bunch of tree debris to make room for a nice big firewood rack.

Out of the picture are a bunch of old logs and stuff that I’m going to burn tonight.

Going to add a burn barrel back here soon as well.

I had to take that pic in portrait instead of landscape to get the whole flame in the pic. It’s much taller than it looks.

I did a little burning today too.
Then while I was sitting there watching it burn. I decided why not make a rock burn pit. There are tons of rocks of varying sizes all over the area. So after ten or so loader buckets I have this as a start.

if you are going to make a burn barrel make sure you puts some hole on the very bottoms sides to allow the barrel to " breathe*

Controlled burn a few days ago at the property across the screet from our hunt club..
Loves me a good rollin fire.
But I near chit m'self the first time @flhtci06 helped us burn off an acre or so field at our old house in Burgaw. 🤣

there will be a controlled burn close to our land sometime soon.
the owners told me about it in January.
they are just waiting for the right conditions, i guess.

Yeah nothing that big. But I have a bigger pile that is probably 10x my little one. We drug a bunch of old dead trees and one semi dead tree we cut down. We as in I watched @J R Green cut it down as I stayed safely away. The tree had worms throughout it.

You'll appreciate that. One got outta hand at the club back in the Fall or Summer and burned a couple adjoining properties.
But they usually do pretty good keepin it contained.
