Round #3498 (give or take) through my PSA rifle and I had my first actual dud using Tula. I've had some in 9mm, and I just feed them through the pistol a second time and they always fire. This time though I ran it through the rifle four times and it just refused to fire. With the zillions of them out there, they can't all be good.

I’ve had one before. Had one with Red Army Standard a few weeks ago. It doesn’t bother me a bit really.

What >would< bother my is if my Federal HSTs or Speer Gold Dora or Hornady Critical Duty’s have one.

Bargain bin prices= I’m fine with bargain bin performance.

Do you like the Red Army stuff? Two of us have tried it and declared it's the least accurate of the cheap 223/556. Nicely sealed and all that, but really poor performance out of all of the rifles we've tried when compared head to head with wolf, tula and the unbranded white box (steel, not winchester white box).

We both bought at the same time, so it could have just been a bad batch.

I do like it. As I said, I am expecting budget performance for ammo that is less than $4 a for .223. I don’t use it for anything over 50 yards though, it’s been my fun range blasting ammo so I can’t really comment on accuracy.

With ammo it’s kinda like restaurants. When I go to McDonalds I am not expecting my burger to be medium rare, the pickle to be sliced exactly so, the bun to be optimally toasted, and the cheese to be of a great consistency. It’s McDonalds...I just eat it.

Now...I go to Ruth Cris or a Michelin star joint and pay $20-40 for a burger...then yeah, we can discuss the finer points of burger crafting.

Ah, that makes sense. We're using it at 0-250 yards, and it's 4MOA most of the time. Have to tell your overly helpful spotter to just calm down when using this stuff. No, it's not the wind pushing rounds around like that... it's mother Russia's QC.

"Overly helpful spotter"

This is why I love you.
(in a brotherly, Baptist approved) kind of way.
