So a thing happened today. The Tikka T3x Tac a1 was on fire today. Had a great time with @Tarowah shooting at BangSteel’s range day. Worked from 460 out to a mile. Got two consecutive shots on the mile and called it a day. Really love this rifle.

Thanks man. It's super satisfying to do that! I was dialed up 14.2 mils and was having to hold 8 more mils high with 2 mils of wind. Fired first shot and made corrections then two consecutive shots on target.Hell yea man, that's awesome.
Got a new scope today. Going to sight it in tomorrow. Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS II.

Yep vet tape from amazon. I was not running it because I don't care for the look of it. The first competition I went to my rifle fell off my cart and dinged up the turret a little. One of the guys I was shooting with said thats why everyone runs the tape to keep scuffs from happening on their high dollar optics. its especially needed when shooting in and around concrete which many PRS places have. When the gun recoils and you're near the concrete it hits the tape not the optic at first. Its cheap and easy to put on.Is that that stretchy medical wrap stuff?

Yep I never thought about the protection I honestly thought folks were trying to be tacticool. lolThat's brilliant... Ordering some...
Yep the only constant in life is change lol. I upgraded the glass on it and got a 34mm tube instead of a 30 which will give me more elevation adjustment and went to 10mil per rev vs the 5 I had before.Hits at a mile, and you changed something!?!
So I took it out to BangSteel today for their open range day. Gun performed great. The scope was impressive. The clarity was much better than the Gen 1 pst and the turrets tracked great. They also have a very positive click that you feel and hear. I really liked it. Only thing I would change is I would love the reticle if it had a floating center dot.
The G3 reticle has a regular intersecting crosshairs. A floating center dot would be a single dot as your aiming point that was floating in the middle then a short distance away the cross hairs would start with the christmas tree type. Something kinda like this actually https://media.midwayusa.com/productimages/880x660/alt1/494/494577.jpgWhat do you mean by a floating center dot?
