First order Palmetto State Armory...WTF

Are they always this flippin slow? Ordered a week ago and it hasn't even shipped yet; still processing.
Sometimes they are. My current one is in the same boat. Other times, it's here a couple of days from when I hit the "Go" button. Of course, the volume right now is high.

Yeah, especially at the holidays. Took them about a week and a half or so on a lower I ordered. I wouldn't be alarmed, but yes, they can at times be slow on shipping.

Read the site FAQ. Up to 15 business days for upper receivers.

I ordered an upper on the 28th and still processing. Every online reseller was slammed after black Friday but I think PSA must've really been hammered

Normally a week max from order to door but durimg holidays their volume goes way up

It's funny now everyone's used to amazon, slow delivery annoys the crap out of folk.

I keep reminding myself that when I find a killer deal somewhere.

I think it’s their sales they’ve been running. Gummed up the workings. My orders during normal times are usually turned around and at my door within a few days.

I bought something on Black Friday weekend. Took right about a week to ship.

Never have any problems with PSA, got my .22 black box of ammo two days after ordering it,
got the email a week later confirming 'your item shipped' ;)
If I order before 10AM I get my items the next afternoon with standard UPS.

Someone once told me when you order from palmetto state just sit back and forget you got it, till you either get a shipping notification or it shows up.

Last time I ordered from them it took a few weeks. But that was a few years ago.

My go to store these days is Primary Arms.

They normally ship within 3 days and it arrives with 3-5 depending on time of year.

Always running sales.

Getting your FFL info to them is easy.

They used to be terrible, but suddenly it became downright respectable. We've been speculating that they've outsourced a lot of their inventory management and shipping now to a 3rd party (just based on some clues we've picked up on).

Perhaps they've run out of stock on things at the outsourcer and are back to build/ship from their facility which means... slow. At the rate they're selling it's probably going right from manufacturing to shipment with zero time on the shelf. The new "just not quite in time" logistics, pioneered by USPS. :)

I know 4 people who have put in orders for uppers and parts kits in the last few days, so we're doing our part to keep them busy.

PSA is well known for super slow shipping. They will definitely surprise you sometimes but I just expect 2 weeks now.

I personally have never had a problem with PSA. ( Probably just jinxed myself saying that.)
When I order stuff that ends up coming out of China (electronic components), I just forget about it until it arrives. Then it's like Christmas when it does.

Ordered a rifle kit on the 28th, received it on the 5th. No notification until the 4th and it showed the next day. Of course I was billed on the 28th but I’m happy with the kit so far.

I ordered one of those super cheap AR pistol build kits on the 3rd. Order status is "Processing." Hey, it's only been a week :) Seriously, I'm so busy, it'll just be like...well...Christmas, when it shows up :D

Don’t you love all the people who get on here with the “ordered one time and never had a problem.” And all those “this time a year you should expect longer waits.” It’s BS Goofy. Palmetto is one the most slack customer service companies ever to exist. But if you think shipping is slow, wait till you need to send something back. Or even get someone on the phone. They’re cheap because employees don’t exist to help you. If they do then they are lazy bastards.

But as you have seen everybody above had a great experience just like Amazon. Amazon could only wish they were PSA.

Remember ordering from the Sears catalog? Get catalog. Fill out order form. Mail in order from and a check. Yes I said mail. Wait. Wait. Wait some more. No online tracking. Just wait. 6-12 weeks I believe it was. Then one day you had a package on the door step. Boy are we spoiled.

A month or so ago I ordered a pistol lower and it shipped in a day and I ordered the upper and the same. Last week I ordered a lower and it just shipped yesterday. Seems like the holidays are slowing them down some.

Yup...I try to tell my kids all the time about how it was when I was a kid...and that was just back in the 80/90's when we would see things like "Allow 6-8 weeks for shipping" and it wasn't a big deal to us. These days if we don't get a shipping notification within 24 hours we start getting anxious. Believe me, my desire for instant gratification totally loves the new way things work.

I have been pretty fortunate with everything I have ordered form PSA, never had any issues and always quick shipping. I do feel like someone hates me right now, as I'm having issues with three orders, all from different places right now.

First, I have had an order for a Tuctite holster for going on 7 weeks now when the advertised lead time was 1-4. It's the holidays, small company, I get it, no big deal. What does piss me off if after 5 weeks or so I sent an email to as about the status and got nothing, so I emailed him several times over the next week and a half and never got a response. Then I tried messaging through Instagram and nothing. So the other day I see that he is actively updating his IG account with pics, so I commented with "nice holster, sure would be nice to get mine someday....." Got a message from him right away saying he had just pressed the holster and it should get in the mail this week and then he deleted my public comment. Guys customer service is a joke, hopefully the holster is great because I wouldn't hold my breath on being able to return it.

Second issue, and from a thread I read in the hot deals area, it looks like I'm not the only one with this problem. I ordered a upper and lower parts kit from Stag on their black Friday sale. This has been almost three weeks now and it still says "awaiting fulfillment" I'm guessing the LPK is the holdup because I had a friend who ordered at the same time and he already received his upper kit. Oh and there was no indication that things were out of stock when ordering...

Third, I ordered a free float handguard and gas block/tube from Primary Arms on the 2nd of this month. Primary Arms did as they always do and shipped it the very next day. Well a couple days go buy and I get the email that it is scheduled for delivery and then it never arrives and the tracking number just said "will take longer than expected". After a week goes by and nothing happens I put in a missing mail form with the USPS. In one of the blocks in the form it wanted me to describe the missing package I am lookin for..... I wrote "probably a box of some sort, if I knew what it looked like it wouldn't be missing". Seems like they found it pretty quick after that because I just got a text that it will be delivered tomorrow. We'll see......

got my UPS shipping notice from my November 28th upper and MBUS order. Should be here tomorrow, which will be the 10th business day (not counting Saturday which is de facto business day since UPS runs)
