Venice, Florida golf course
Trolling trip from June.
What fish are the boys holding ?
Husk Lock and Dam on Cape Fear 2 weeks ago. Didn’t catch many but had a great time drinking Duck Hook and cruising on the water with a few very select co workers. Big deal of the day was getting the resident millennial out and him catching a small cat.
Your wood boat ?
No, belongs to my partners father. A friend of his built it for him. Outfitted with a drop down ramp on the front for his brother (wheelchair).
Not fish but hopefully they’ll catch a few for me.
Patriotic double bunny.
Yesterday, caught 15-20 of these hybrid bluegills (possibly red ear sunfish.)
Target species was green sunfish but they just wouldn't cooperate. I'm gonna try again with a dry fly.
Last weekend, channel cats.
OK, @Burt Gummer , put some of yours in here.
caught this two weekends ago, on my way back as I type this.
Nice hammer. What is it 12oz?
I've shook your hand, that bluegill is a toad.
Looks like a bluegill / green sunfish hybrid. See the yellow tip on the anal fin?
Pure bluegill don't have that.
I thought it would be a state record. I didn't weigh it but it's almost as long as that hammer. I cought it on bacon trying for turtles.
I can tell you that it tasted great.
No luck today. My step daughter knocked over the menner bucket and my wife said let's go. Before that the kids got a few small ones and that's still a win.
Nephew caught his first fish.

Pulled another 5 lber out of the pond today.
What I’ve been using..
Fishing in your swimming pool is cheating.
Looks like central FL.
You need to go to Broward/Dade county and get some peacock bass!!! Topwater of course!
I was teasing my MIL that I was going to turn it loose in the pool to catch it again tomorrow
Yes, south central gulf coast.
Can't get to anywhere else this trip. Wish I could.
Are those top ones Spanish mackerel.
Took a friend fishing a month or so ago on a cloudy day and she caught this whopper on a buzzbait. Her biggest bass so far. To say she was excited was an understatement
The noise/tone of a large bass inhaling a buzzbait is awesome. Right after she landed that fish you should have gone in for the close. Her endorphins were surely rushing.
Maybe not cheating but it sure makes it easier then real life.
My 7 year old daughter hung one like that at Buggs Island on a bomber 6a.
It came unglued right at the boat, she has 3 kids of her own now and she still talks about it.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Out of a mud hole, where no one catches anything but cats, carp and sunfish. Open to the public, so it gets pounded.
I'll Take it !
The hammer is for turtle fishing. I tie Mason line two tomato stakes
Went out of Morehead today and had ok luck. Several blues, Spanish macs, false albies, and a couple spikes, small flounder inshore on the way back in.
PS I was my own photog
I was not paying attention when you posted this.
What are you throwing these at ?
