Might sound like a dumb question but I'm not a vet. I've got a nice flag on the front of my house. Not one of those cheap China made flags. It's gotten dirty with mildew and dirt. Is it correct protocol to put inn the washing machine or replace it? How do I handle?

Try hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, and thoroughly rinse.

Regular bath/shower mold and mildew spray will work. Coat it well with the spray, let it soak/break up the mildew and hose it off

Make sure it’s not a bleach-based cleaner

You can also have them dry cleaned. On Flag Day, most dry cleaners will do this for nothing. (Sometimes)
