Florida church warns at every door 'we are heavily armed'

"Please know this is not a gun free zone -- we are heavily armed -- any attempt will be dealt with deadly force -- yes we are a church and will protect our people." The message is signed "The Pastors."

The pastors (elders would be another word) have been charged with shepherding the flock. Glad to see them taking it seriously, at least in the physical since.

The church where my wife is a member and i sometimes attend used to have an open door policy except from midnite till 8am. Street people and disrespectful AA members changed that but even after the tragedy in TX they havent gotten the message in regards to security on Sundays. Head in the sand is not a good plan.
