I'm ready to go order a YHM Turbo K (whatever they're calling the new version anyway), but keep coming back to a Huxwrx Flow 556K.

I look at NFA as lifetime purchases, so while the Huxwrx is significantly less expensive price is not my #1 consideration.

YHM wins on length by 0.6"
It's a draw on weight

My use case is dedicated semi-permanent mount on an 11.5" 5.56 AR.

Is 'flow through' tech really all that?

For the uninformed, what does flow through mean in regards to the suppressor's design?
Old-school cans block the gasses and basically push them back into the action.

Flow through tech uses a helical type baffle to slow the gasses and ultimately vent out the front.

The one thing I don't like about the Huxwrx cans is that I don't believe they're repairable. Single piece construction compared to some other cans that have a serialized rear piece and then one or more repairable/replaceable pieces forward of that.

I would like to shoot a Huxwrx can to see for myself if they live up to the hype.

Edited to add: @Tim the only issue I see for you and the Huxwrx is the round count and life of the can. They are saying it only has around a 10K round life. For the average shooter, that would be fine. But you are an above average shooter. I can see this being an issue for you.

@Tim

Thought about a MG7K in 224? Or even 264?

I’ve just never found KAC or Surefire to be the answer to any question I’ve ever asked. 🤣
Sure fire makes great stuff, but it’s overpriced.
KAC makes innovative stuff that is cutting edge but they are a horrible company with garbage customer service.

Show me on the SR15 where they hurt you!

I’m interested to hear your customer service experience

My oss Hx 762 is an excellent suppressor for auto loading rifle that simply cannot have the gas dialed back. An example is the tavor SAR or X95. However I consider the flow through inferior to baffle can in any other situation. If the gas can be properly tuned, I’d skip the flow through.

I've got zero experience with Huxwrx, a little experience with the TK-RB, more experience with the T3, and significantly more experience with the older TK and T2.

Don't think of YHM as "cheap" cans. Think of them simply as "inexpensive". They're high quality suppressors.

The TK-RB and T3 have SIGNIFICANTLY less back pressure than the previous generations, with a lot less crap back in your face, while sounding virtually identical (to my ears and to a friend's ears) to the shooter and bystander.
