Hey all,

New guy here. Moved down to NC for a new job. You can call me Snake, cause after 30-some-odd years I escaped from the socialist Republic of NY!

I was upstate ny.... not the city. Actually I have NEVER even set foot in the city.

I'm a conservative constitutionalist, so I was a fish out of water in NY.

I'm working in south east raliegh and finding it impossible to find an affordable house! šŸ˜†

Search my username, I've been on the boards for years going back to the old preban.com days. More recently Arfcom, ar15armory, sigforum and as of late and most prominently weaponsguild.

I'm looking for a range I can shoot/test builds as well as shoot thing like binary triggers/class3. I'm looking at freedom gun range.

Any tips/advice on the area, where to house hunt, where to shoot, etc... always welcome!

Dream is to be able to shoot in my backyard... even if only suppressed 22s..

A lot of people are saying get out of wake county and to commute...

In any case. Loving it down here so far and looking forward to enjoying the freedom!

yeah you moved down at a baaad time... turns out a lot of people are flooding out of states like NY and looking for homes around here. šŸ˜
I moved down from MI about 2.5 years ago and if prices then were like they are now, i probably would have had to stay up there. we live in an area that's not even so popular and our property has gone up by 25%

welcome to a purpley state instead of solid blue... on the other hand, welcome to a blue area instead of red?

Thanks all. I got an apt in Knightdale and have already gotten my chl and have 3 cans on order šŸ˜†

I've seen house prices go up just in the past 4 months.... my brother's been down here for a few years so I have a passing familiarity with the area, but was hoping to wind up just north of Zebulon to be central to work and my bro (a little north). Looks like I may push a little further out though... I've been to psr37 - really like it, but too far... I hope to take some of their first response Medical classes soon!
