As most of you probably know I make knives as a sideline but I learned a long time ago that folding knives were NOT my forte (BIG PITA) so I stick with fixed blades. I recently came across the new Boker Urban Trapper Petite and instantly fell in love with it's lines, light weight and quality of construction.
Got one in my hands a couple of days ago and was very pleased but it was too thin for my hand. My first thought was to make a new set of scales and leave them slightly thicker. Second thought was that I didn't want to reinvent the wheel so I decided to put a set of liners under the existing Carbon fiber scales.
I used a 1/16" thick, G10 liner material and that made it perfect in thickness. Didn't add any weight than I can measure so it's still 1.2 oz on the scale. Whacha think???
Before.......
After....
I think the orange makes it pop just a little without being over whelming.....
