Foo Fighters ne1?

My BIL and niece went Friday and Saturday but couldn't muster the energy and patience to go back Sunday.

Good show?

Heard the weather was rough Saturday night. Hope it wasn't too muddy on Sunday. The wife is a HUGE Foo fan, but she doesn't do well in large crowds and I didn't think she would enjoy a festival type environment.

Had some students that went, they were bummed about the storm cancelling things early one of the nights.

I honestly can't get into their music but the guys in the band seem cool. They seem like a group of people who just want to entertain people and have a good time. They also appear to be somewhat generous.

Here’s the opener, that woman you hear screaming is my wife, she lost her mind!!

Great show, though four bands I wanted to see got rained out Sat night.

Looks like a good excuse for a vehicle mounted rifle and full time crew. Heard it was a shit show. Hope you and yours didn’t get caught up in the circumstances.

A shit show?

Other than the traffic and missing the sign for the South campground, it was a great time.

I've been to several concerts but can't really get in to them. The performance is usually sub par and the screaming crowds are just terrible.

I was in the tire shop Monday morning dropping off my truck, watching the news when they reported on the non-incident of the concert. Seems all the hub-bub was from "online comments"...at least, that's how they ended the 90-second bit reporting how the show presumably "sucked" but couldn't find anyone to back up that claim.

I could be accused--and possibly convicted--of making brash and/or melodramatic statements for effect at times. However, I promise you that I mean it when I say I absolutely loathe this day and age where anonymous quibblings can ruin a reputation and attract such negative attention. It is one of the worst parts of our society.

To the OP: glad you had a good time and saw a band you liked, despite others' petty attempts at stealing the spotlight with their sad lives.

I've heard the words "class action lawsuit" tossed around, too.

The campground cleared out sat night, many were complaining they didn’t get to see Tool, the headliners for Sat night.

The weather was awful from 3pm on, they wanted what they wanted regardless of others safety.

Class action lawsuit...[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I've met Dave Grohl back when he was still in Nirvana and then again when he started the Foo Fighters. A friend of mine from Fredericksburg,VA was good friends with him in HS. When he was in the area he would stop buy the local CD shop and restaurant we both worked at looking for our mutual friend. We all lived in downtown and it was a small community. He also used to sit in and play drums in the same friends band back in the day sometimes when they played in DC.

A group of us go to see him when he played with Nirvana at William and Mary in 1993. He was a pretty down to earth guy back then. My friend went to his first wedding and said it was absolutely insane. I have not made it to a Foo Fighters show. I am not a "big venue" concert guy anymore. Too old. LOL

My buddy Seth got to meet the band, drank a beer in Dave G's trailer and sat with Pat and his wife on stage while the other bands played. He invited me to go see Korn on Friday but I didn't feel like sitting in traffic on 2 lane RichCo backroads for 6 hours.

He was really bummed about not seeing Tool......but this lucky effer WON his passes anyhow.

I didn't get the invite on Sunday to meet with Foo.

Just don't teach them too much. Like when they played at the DNC or Dave's bro mance with Obama.
For the record their political leanings is the only thing I can say negative about them. I like most of their music, the documentary movies Dave does and every concert of theirs I've been to they played long shows and I really enjoyed them.
