For all you Dillon Reloaders out there.

While working from home, you are going to get really bored really quickly blowing through all your reloading components. My single stage press will make my components last longer and help me keep my sanity.
Don't hate the Player....hate the hoarders.

I have just short of 1.5T of lead just in case I run out of factory bullets, I think I’ll be ok.

Sadly, as a small business owner “quarantine” just means work harder while your staff is reloading.

Nahhhh, Coronavirus would be extinct and fossilized by the time I ran out of components. And even if it was possible, Midway, MidSouth, Graff, and so on and so on would still have components to order.............I have 5 Dillons, and at least 2 big Redding Single stage, but I still can't run but one at a time.... HEH...............I am told my quarantine time is going to be taken up by clean up jobs my wife is finding. She even mentioned my Office! That has been a "No Mans" land for a very long time................

I’m one man with 2 presses, 5 calibers to load, and 2yr worth of component purchases stashed... I think I’ll be fine.

Even more interesting is I started a new job today, only 1 boss and 1 team member was in the office, I left at lunch haha.

I WFH normally, so business as usual except that the VPN is slow because the whole (very large) company is also WFH now.

I do need to spend some quality time with the 650 loading a few thousand 9 and the 550 to load a couple thousand 223.

I cleaned off my work bench (again) the other night around 3am. Woke up after falling asleep at 9pm. My office is a wreck since I turned it into my precision weighing and sorting area. Lots of little drink cups with yellow post its. Man cave is a wreck as well since I ran out of storage for cd's. Lots of stacks. Doubt any of it will get cleaned up or organized unless I have to self quarantine for 14 days.

I have plenty of components to keep my 650 fed for a couple weeks. But I need to work up some recipes first. With a 2 month old the commodity is time.

“Super jealous of single stage press owners rn.”

To your point, I am just about out of the boolits I’ve been loading in this caliber (I have others) but I’m not the least bit mad about it cause all the ones I do have are loaded and ready for range trips. When the ammo cans start getting low I’ll order a bulk case of boolits and spend a few hours to refill them. I didn’t enjoy loading like some of you guys but find it rather relaxing now. More into the unloading aspect of reloading I suppose. I’ll social distance myself away from folks in my own bay at the club while you’re enjoying all those components.
:D

I recently took inventory of my components. Let’s just say that I have enough to keep me loading and shooting for years. When I run out of components for one caliber, I’ll switch to another. I have 18 to chose from.

I have a Dillon 550, but I also like pulling the handle on my Lee Classic Turret. In fact, I have many more turrets for that than I do toolheads for my 550.

I can load for and shoot for a loooonnnggg time. Been building up components since Obama years. Only Toprudder has more projectiles than me. But I can cast up to 34000 530 grain bullets if needed. Even more 45s if needed. And yea, I got the primers and powder to cover that and more. And yes I need more.......Trying to take the title from Topprudder

Because I am reloading on a RockChucker, I think that I am going to expand all pistol brass that I have on hand. Not really interested in loading but got to find something to do.

Hey, we all need a target to aim for! :p You are aiming at a moving target, though.

A good idea but really not a good idea. Did about a gallon and half of 9 MM cases and had enough prepping. I when back to load what you shoot program.

I stumbled into some primer deals, it’s gotten more than a little out of hand. Same with pistol powder. Really need something full auto in 45acp to help solve my problem.

If you really want to make it last, take your press with you to the range and just keep reloading one case all day.
Would you believe that I have a purpose built press just for doing this? Figured I’d use it for developing loads for long range, but haven’t gotten into that part of the hobby yet.

I have thought about that as well. My plan was to take fully prepped brass to the range, where all I would have to do was drop powder and seat a bullet. So, powder, a scale, and a seater would be all I would need. Wilson makes a chamber style seating die for most rifle calibers, all that is needed to seat a bullet is just a simple mallet.

I'm still shooting stuff from inventory rotation. Not pulling the blue handle any more than usual.

Taking a break from reloading right now. I need to concentrate on staying away from any other human in existence, well except maybe for the wife, my neighbors, the people selling strawberries, all my friends at Lowes...................................

You can spend your time prepping rifle brass to slow down on the pistol reloading.
Thats what I have been trying to do the last few days, lol.

Same here, worked my way through 2 Home Depot buckets of brass so far during the shelter in place - I have one bucket left.

Years ago I saw where someone made a press stand that went into the trailer ball receiver so they would have a sturdy place to work at the range.
