The CIA couldn't have coined something that existed in texts from the 1800s so there's that.

I got nothing...I can only speculate. I'm always up for learning something new, that's why I asked the question. However, I do believe there's dark forces at work here. Secret societies...so to speak. Why just write something off, because someone else told us "it's a baseless conspiracy theory"? That's my point. We can all agree evil is real, it does exist. It does walk amongst us. It is in some of the highest places of our modern government, and has been with us our entire lives. So why would it be so hard to believe that there's darker forces at work here? A conspiracy...so to speak. The term " conspiracy theory" whoever coined it, seems to me, is being used to shut thought provoking conversation down, and forcing people to stop questioning the "official story".

That was my first Heinlein book, oh so many years ago and arguably still my favorite. Published in 1958 and he refers to a light based aiming device, the precursor to the now common laser sight. I not sure if lasers even existed yet.

Skyway soap, pure as the sky itself...

Another favorite is, Tunnel In the Sky. ;)

When I was very young I bought a paperback at a gas station on a road trip with my parents. It was the first book I ever owned, or read outside of school that I can remember. It was called Orphans of the Sky, a Heinlein book, and had me totally enthralled all the way through. Funny I couldn't get into some of his major works like Stranger in a Strange Land though. Another rather obscure title of his, more of a short story, is There Will Come Soft Rains. I liked that one a lot. It's about an automated house living on uninhabited after the nuclear holocaust.

Focus on your immediate circle...your safety, security and welfare. It may just be you. For others, it may be a wife and kids. Take responsibility for that safety, security and welfare. Do everything you possibly can to keep yourself mentally, physically and spiritually (not necessarily based on faith/religion) fit to safeguard it. Control the things you can control.

I would back a lot further: a hot minute after Geo Washington took office, there were parties and people putting things in place to break things up. It's the nature of our country.

My favorite is "Rocket Ship Galileo." I can identify with a lot of what's in there, as an enginerd. Plus, M1s in space! Ya gotta love that :D
