Ok guys, my 02 4.6 is in need of some coil swaps. I want to do them all at one time, but have read so many up and down reviews on different brands it's crazy. Sooo, what have you used that's worked good, other than factory oem?

Nothing at all. Just seeing if there is a alternative that is good that's a little cheaper. I know, you get what you pay for, lol.
Whats wrong with motorcraft? They got you this far.

Stop by LKQ and get a set out if a lie mileage wreck.

I used to make the wire for the coil-in-plug. The engineering that goes into the component is insane. I wouldn't take my chances with anything made by wemakeknockoffswithyourownstolenintellectualproperty.cn just to save a couple bucks.

On a completely unrelated note, my '05 4.0l Ranger just cruised past 300k miles this week. The only major repair was replacing the drive shaft. I didn't jump right on it when I heard the U-joint start squeaking and the extra wear upset the shaft balance.

My 170K mile Crown Vic has Motorcraft's. Not sure if they are original or not, but the last 40K miles have been smooth.

Fleet's been running mod motors since they came out. When on pretty rare occasion a coil has failed, it gets replaced with Motorcraft. We buy the cheapest junk available, unless something else is irrefutably better. Check Rock Auto, or find a friend with a shop account at whatever AutoSupply became.

We have a repurposed shuttle bus we use for our business; it has the V10 and when we first got it we made the mistake of aftermarket coil packs and the thing ran like crap. 10 Motorcraft coils later and she's purring like a kitten. An 8 miles per gallon kitten but a kitten nonetheless.

The 6.8s are great 460 power and usually better mpg.

Fords are bad enough on their own without messing them up more by using chinese coil packs. STICK WITH MOTORCRAFT !!!
