I recently purchased a 2020 F250 XL gasser for a third (actually 4th) vehicle, but mainly to pull the sxs to hunting property and what not. Anyway, of course I had to put 35” tires on it and do away with the little things it came with, they were wore out and it needed an alignment too. So the new 35x12.5x17 tires have a max psi of 65 psi and the truck is programmed to see 70 in the front and 80 in the rear. How can I change the truck to look for a lower psi than what it does? I’ve read about FORScan, but that kind of stuff is not in my wheelhouse. I’ve also read that dealers won’t do it either. I‘ve got 55 psi in them now (just the trip from the tire store home), but my OCD needs that little yellow light to go off on the dash. I’d be good with disabling the sensors too, I’m not scared to use my compressor or a gauge occasionally. TIA!

I went through the same struggle years ago on my ford. Didn't find any solution I was willing to spend money on. Fast forward, I bearly even notice that light now. It's on all the time.

Sounds like you bought the wrong tires. Are they the same load range as the sticker on the door jam calls for? The truck is looking for those pressures because that's what the proper load range tire would have.

If I bought the wrong tires, it’s only because I didn’t do a 6” lift and install 40’s. 😂

If it bothers you remove all the sensors and make 2 pipe manifolds with a schraider service valve in each, install the sensors, pump it up and throw it somewhere inside the vehicle.
but also make it out of metal pipe, leave it somewhere visible, and maybe wrap it in a length of canon fuse.

but yeah, i like the idea of just fooling it. I should do something like that for my wife's car...

Perhaps another member has ForScan in your area.
I'm too far away.

I have forscan and changed mine to 35 psi on my 2019 f350.
Changed tire size, turned off all of the seat belt minders and annoying chimes.

I'm only an hour from you of you want to swing by some Sunday afternoon.
