Am I the only one that gets a bit of perverse pleasure at seeing guns slapped together from spare parts?

- Blue/gray SBR’d lower repurposed from a DMR build
- rattle can’d extension from an old AR-10
- black upper
- green sling

It’s ugly, but after 1 range trip and some swapping of innards (trigger, safety), I think it’ll shoot.

Not an AR but, I have a Glock 43 and the frame, slide and, barrel all have different serial numbers. I think Johnny Cash must have worked for Gaston Glock at one time.

@beeleafs and I slapped together a rifle from spare parts a few years ago. We call it Frankenstein, it may not be the prettiest or most gucci build out there but it's a surprisingly good little shooter!

I have one "normal" AR. All the rest have spontaneously come into being by having "so many 'spare' parts that I'm close enough to another gun".

Then of course, I don't have spare parts, so I get some... the cycle continues.
This is me and 10/22s.

I swear I could throw a stripped receiver in my box of parts, shake it a bit, and a fully assembled 10/22 would appear.

I love frankenrifles. Had many; my go-to is one: BCM mid upper, Spikes lower, DD LPK, Geissele trigger, BCM stock.

All my ARs except the 9mm are Frankenguns as are all my NotaGlocks. Hell most of the NAG parts are from Fleabay lol

Poverty Pony and P80 uber alles!

I very regrettably sold my favorite, DD LW barrel, some aluminum handguard, non-descript lower, ALG trigger, basic CAR stock. It was light and accurate.

It's an Aero Upper, PSA nitride BCG, radian raptor charging handle, PSA M lock rail, Ballistic Advantage CHF 16" Barrell on a PSA lower, with a standard mil spec trigger, Daniel Defense grip, LMT adjustable stock, SpringCo white hot buffer spring, random buffer (out of the bottom of a box) generic A2 birdcage and did have a Holosun 512C until I snuck it off recently...I hope I haven't left anyone out. 😂 Honestly it is an amazing shooter!!! Impressive how accurate it is and runs incredibly well! Been thinking about part'in her out. But I just can't bring myself to do it. Me and @Cole_McD had a blast putting her together during the "Summer of Love Riots" and the height of Covid.👍

@heavydoc 's wife's gun certainly qualifies. How is that thing running?
I wish I could say we've been shooting it, but we have not. She works weekend nights and I work weekdays and Saturdays

Just don’t have @Chuckman do your surgery…

But wait, are y’all saying I can run whatever BCG on whatever upper I want?

Lower is 17 design and manufacturing. No clue the stock Anderson lpk No markings on the 762x39 upper and topped off with a Cmore Reddot View attachment 530600

That's the Cmore with integrated rear sight?

Always thought those were so cool.

The cmore railway is such a vibe.
Was able to toss together a complete .300 for my father in law that was completely misc parts nice to be able to slap something functioning together from random closet parts
