I had a great time shooting the .22LR Precision match at Frontline Defense yesterday. The stages were challenging, the RO's were on point and we got done by 1:00 or so - just before we could all burst into flames from the heat. I learned a lot, but the main takeway was the realization of how much practice I got and how much I learned for $5.60 worth of ammo as opposed to the $100+ ammo cost for a normal centerfire match. I can't wait for the next one.

It really is an awesome learning experience. Some of the stages were humbling, to say the least. There is very little room for error with a .22 at 200+ yards when you are lying prone. There is even less when you are trying to shoot off a log or a frigging stump.

Will try to make the next one. Agree the skills learned can be applied to other matches.
