Hell yes, I'm in! Just give me a threaded combo version please.

When I had both my 9c and FS, coming from an XDm9c 3.8", I really wished there was an in between M&P. The G19 size is perfect I just hate the ergos so this is right up my alley.

If it's truly G19 size I will be all over it.

I was hoping the 2.0 9C would come with a factory +1 or +2 magzine... This is even better.

S&W announced their quarterly results yesterday...not so good IMHO. They mentioned that they have several more "significant" product introductions coming between now and May 2018.

Brownells pre-order price is $529. That's a bit high when compared to other M&P offerings. Hopefully it eventually settles around that $420-$450 sweet spot. If it does, it should compete very well with the g19.

i love the shield, and just bought a g19, but if it went to 420-450 i would have no choice but to get one based on my love for the shield.

From what I heard on their investor conference call yesterday, I'm guessing S&W is gonna be promoting for a long time. They claim they won't promote their new models but they're strangling themselves and their customers with inventory.

I've always said that every company needs to sell a Glock 19 sized pistol

I found a police trade-in, a "mid-size" M&P .45. It has a 3.9 barrel, the grip is the same as the full size. Got is for a steal at Lawmen's before they went rogue. I'm pretty sure they didn't make this in a 9 or 40.

That's the mid-size MP45. Raleigh PD and Guilford Co. carries them. The one you bought is probably one of their trade-ins. The Mid-size and the MP45 compacts are properly sized guns

Just got a email from Quantico Tactical that they are taking pre-orders....Mil/LE/1st responder price for 9mm w/o NS is $429, $479 with NS. Both come with 3 magazines.

Might just have to get 2 for that price...

Good prices, Quantico also has great magazines deals as well.

I would like to see S&W offer NS to everyone.

Nice price considering Brownells is at $500 today. Buy as many as you can, I'm sure your fellow forum members will make sure you don't end up with extras.

:D

I was just thinkin...

Brownells was $530 the other day, now at $500 while they're being offered at $429 elsewhere (with the S&W discount for Military, etc.). S&W announced they are so confident in this new series of pistols (more new guns coming in the next few months) that they don't expect to resort to promotions. Watching what happens to the Compact 2.0 internet pricing should give us good insight into the health of the new pistol market (i.e., manufacturers'/dealers' pricing power).

Anybody want to hazard a guess where the price will be 6 months from now?

I would say pricing on the M&P 2.0 compact will be around 450 in 6 months. With it even lower for 1st responders and qualified folks.

I carry an M&P 40c daily and have a full size 40 also. I been debating on getting a glock 19/23 again just to have, but with the size and pricing on the new compact version I will likely just get one of them for the easy of magazine interchangeability.

With S&W sales down about 40%, I see promotions in the near future unless this gun really flies off the shelf.

I think a lot of the die hard M&P fans will go out and get one but some of us, myself included will hold off and then get one used, as prices come down or some rebate is added.

How's this for an idea...?

We create a new thread and post our interest in buying one "if the price is right". After waiting a week or so to let people put themselves on the list, we ask @knifeman32 to see what he can do on a group buy.

That's my thinking, though the 1st responder discount is tempting.

Buds isn't listing the compact yet on their site or qualified professional side. The $409.00 model is a full size 9mm 2.0 the night site version is $460 so Buds will likely have the compact at or near that price point

When are they supposed to be in stock at online retailers? This may be what i need, that or a P-10c. Sold my last one and regret it sometimes

Didn't notice that wasn't the compact, but I'd expect it to be around the same price as the FS as you said.
