"G19-sized" M&P 9 Compact 2.0

Didn't notice that wasn't the compact, but I'd expect it to be around the same price as the FS as you said.

Agreed I really don't see why it wouldn't be.

Wish they would do it in 357sig to compete with the glock 32.

I just am not moved by todays tactical plastic. They are all chasing the Glock market share. Sig still has a chance to do that with the P320 if they can work out the issues and start to delivering to the Army but if that fails too then Glock will remain on top of the tactical plastic world.

So I love youtube, watch alot of the gun channels...... one of them being James Yeager (yes i know lots of people hate him, but hes entertaining to me and you can decide for yourself if you think he knows anything or not). We ll he just release a video about how the MP 2.0 15 rd is NOT g19 sized...... of course I watched the vid and he does all the comparisons. Well, I am pretty sure he is doing a comparison to the wrong gun and is using a FS 2.0 with a 15rd mag. You can decide for yourself if you want to watch, and if thats the case I am sure the internet trolls are going to take him to town on this one :D

The M&P 2.0 has the same crappy trigger as all M&P's and with the tolerances you have a chance to end up with one that suffers from early lock release.

Mine groups for crap. Replaced the trigger with an Apex and that helped but I was still grouping for crap. That's when I found out about the early lock release issue. Out of 8 of them mine was the only one with the issue. Apex has a replacement barrel that fixes the issue but I don't have another $270 to drop on this pistol at the moment.

This was solved with the 2nd revision of the 1.0 M&P. Mine suffer from it but not to badly.

I got 30 seconds into it before I was reminded why I don't watch his videos.

Brownells just dropped these to $439 and if you look around you can find a coupon for an additional $30 off.

Anybody shot one yet?

I am trying to decide between the 2.0 fde 5" or the 2.0 compact. Help me decide
Doesn't it kinda depend on the use case? For CC, I'm guessing the Compact will be much better. For around the house, where concealment isn't such an issue, wouldn't you want the bigger gun?

That still means...both. :D

I like that guy, and he seems to LOVE the 2.0C, I am definitely interested in hearing some first hand experiences and getting to shoot one.
As soon as my local range gets one in the rental case I'm going to be shooting it side by side with my G19 for a comparison.

How far are you from HP? :D

When you get yours in Jeppo I am coming over :) ...... ill bring my sig and glock and we can run them all side by side to compare .....

fondled one at Fuquay gun and gold yesterday. feels nice in the hand. I think they were asking 459.00 (please don't quote me but that seems right).

I think that the grip texture might be too rough for IWB carry. sandpaper or an old neoprene sleeve for me perhaps?

I'm expecting Talon R will be my solution.

oh yeah, I did pop one of the 15 round mags into a M&P9C and it seemed to pop in just fine.

I bet someone might make a sleeve to make the 15 round mags flush fit on the 9C

Should be good to go from Saturday night. As I've told you, I've placed thick and very soft foam all around the firing line so we should be ok with your P320. :D

Just curious but you guys think prices on those will drop for the holidays or stay steady?

I think they will stay fairly high new. I'm guessing that G19 owners that have to try it then migrate will have them for 400.00 or less on armslist soon...

I'm actually hoping this forces the M&P9C prices to drop.

Comparing the new 2.0 C with my 1.0 FS (and assuming the 2.0 FS has the same dimensions), I'm hard pressed to imagine why anyone would buy the full size rather than the new compact. They're almost the same size and the included mag spacers allow the Compact to use 17 round magazines, rendering the grip length identical. So, I'm guessing what actually goes down in price, over time, will be the 2.0 full size as the Compact cannibalizes sales.

YMMV ;)

I Ordered me a M&P 2.0 Compact from buds for $416 shipped
Hope to have it next week
It shows up for me at $449. How'd you get that price?

Thats the price i saw first, then looked again 10 min or so later and it was $407 cash price so i layed it away to get it at that price. Layaway is payed of so hopefully they ship it soon. Dont know if it was a pricing mistake or what but i feel i got a good price on it.

Do you have a G19/23 size to compare them?
