GaMe Of ThRoNeS--- Final season

I was so-so ok with it last night as I was expecting worse. I'm glad Jon was the one to kill the mad Queen...and I did think that a democracy would vote Jon in as King for a few seconds there.
Tyrion would actually be a good King. He cares about the people.
I thought it was funny how Bron was master of coin....and his first priority was rebuilding the brothels....lol

I don’t really have a problem with where they story ended. The Mad Queen arc for Dany and Jon ending up living free beyond the Wall with his wildling bros makes sense.

As some have already stated, my beef comes in with how fast and jumbled the story telling had to become to get the characters to their endings, that, and the futility of the White Walkers. So 7 seasons of preaching them as the ultimate enemy and in a sense their only purpose was to weaken Dany’s army? And even with those weakened forces she still razed Kings Landing without batting an eyebrow...

Agreed, it sure looked like he undead obliterated her armies and then after King's Landing battle they all lined up and there huge numbers of both mounted and spearmen. Bit of a plot problem. I mean it looked like about 30 of the horseman cam back after they charged the undead and the Commander of the unsullied basically pulled the retreat of his own guys down by closing the bridge. Also, I have a hard time believing whats his face would have allowed Jon to live after killing the Queen. He would have killed him on the spot.

Being a show full of the undead and dragons I am willing to suspend belief and let a lot slide...

That said I agree with @Variable about the wishy-washy-ness of the troop strength and for that matter the power of the dragons. One second they're dropping out of the sky, the next they are invincible and impossible to hit...

I'm just glad it's over. It was a great show and I liked the fast pace of the last season. No need to drag out any of that stuff. Been 7 years of that already. Time to move on to the next thing...

Well i don't know about you guys but i was not impressed with last nights show. The ending was ho hum for the most part. One of my boys says there going to have three spin off shows and that is why they set this up the way they did. I think he read it on the Internets. We all know how good the information is from there :)

There will be 3 spin offs. One will be prequel set in the time of Heros before GOT. I do not think the other stories have been leaked yet. D&D are not involved so there is a shot that it will be well written. It was announced in 2017 IIRC.

The problem is that they were so rushed to complete the story arcs. The timelines got all messed up. Thing happen way to quickly. For example Danny getting murdered should have had a several episode build up with her actually being killed in a dramatic fashion at the end. From there you can have an episode about what to do next. Smashing them into one cheapened and shorted each arc. You can basically apply the same thoughts to just about ever arc after season 6. Jamie and Cearsi completely got shorted.

The whole dragon's effectiveness to me fell on Danny. She did not know how to use them. She just flew around all nonchalant and got 2 of them killed because she felt like they were invincible. When she finally lets loose on King's Landing she uses Drogon like a jet fighter. It was the first time she truly used high speed strafing effectively. She did some of it taking out the Lanister army after the took the gold from High Garden but not as effectively.

This pretty much sums up my feelings about the show. Still all in all a good ride and I enjoyed watching most of it. Even the shitty parts.

Come on... y'all didn't like the "it's winter"..."it's summer" in a matter of 5 minutes.....

What was up with Sansa saying the North would remain an independent nation????

I don't know if she was "power hungry" or if she was trying to respect the North men who fought....

Dang, poor John Snow just get cucked throughout the whole show to arrive at his final punking. Back to the wall for you ole boy.

Ideally, season 8 would've been all about the night king and season 9 would've dealt with kings landing. But GRRM took too long and the actors were all antsy to move on while their celebrity is still on the upswing.

Early estimate is the first confirmed prequel will be out next year. They are now calling it the blood moon instead of the Long night.

It's been a long running theory that the night king is a Stark bastard of the Wildling king, Bael the Bard, and a Stark princess. They'll probably build up this Jon Snow type character that we will love and then turn him bad like the Daenarys character arc.

Most of the actors are eager to move on and earn big money in movies. But what the hell you gonna do with Arya? That girl is freaking yooogly. Maybe play a boy transitioning into a woman? Maybe a bridge troll?

Has the porn film parody came out yet?
