I dropped the gas block roll pin and it hit 88 mph and travelled through time and that bitch is gone.

Does anyone have a spare in Winston? Not sure of a local place I could get one. I've been accumulating parts for a few weeks and finally got what I need to complete my build and then poof.

SLR is only $100 from Right To Bear if that's the one you're wanting.

Great reason to take advantage of Brownells free shipping no minimum and others who do small parts packs, just so that you have a few spare springs and detents on hand.

Just be careful, they sometimes turn into complete rifles!

Tell me about it. For a while there, I kept turning spare bolt carrier groups into rifles

I ordered it direct from SLR Friday night. Oh well. At least I know SLR ships fast and is only a couple states away. Hopefully it will be here Wednesday. Already have some 69 smk loaded up for it. Need to load some 77's to test and I'll be set for the next 2 weeks that I'm off work

What gas block is too high or rail to low? Primary Arms had some low profile gas blocks for about $29. Dremel tool time on the rail or not enough beers yet?

More like Dremel time on the gas block! Right To Bear also had their low pro gas blocks for like $12 a while back and I ordered one. Didn't need it but decided for that price I would try it instead of going forward with the SLR. Although now of course I want to just go ahead with the SLR so I can dimple the barrel and get good contact.

As for the gas tube pin, etc: Right to Bear also has their black melonite gas tubes on sale for like $9 right now. I hate the fact that so many manufacturers like Aero and BCM throw together a beautiful all black or even FDE upper with a sexy ass free float rail...only to see this nice shiny gas tube blinging out the sides. So I think I have ordered like 6 different melonite gas tubes and replaced every one from Aero, BCM, and Colt on my rifles so they are truly EVIL BLACK RIFLES.

This is what I have bought, and never had any issues with rail interference, and they hide under the rail.

That's good to know about the Brownells deal, I lost the same pin, and I have been looking to order something else sobi don't have to pay$12 in shipping for a $.69 part lol

I think in a pinch you could put just about anything in there as a field expedient until you get the right roll pin.
