Check under the lid sometimes the other orifices are stored there.

I changed mine from LP to NG. Required ordering new orifices ( and air/fuel adjustment ) for all the burners and in my case the existing regulator valve was a dual- type which just required flipping the screw-in insert over. NG operates at a lower pressure than LP, so if it never has been set up for NG you may need to buy the jets.

Thanks, I will look for old orifices. She has purchased burner assembly with orifices for top burners , but this is an old stove and I want to make sure I use correct size. I replaced igniter a few months ago and did not see any extra orifices.

Then all that is left is to convert the gas valve amd set the pressures on said valve.

One more thing may or may not be needed. If you have a regulator in the gas line it can be either for natural gas or LP. The ratings could be different. On a LP tank regulation is done at the tank or beyond the tank. On natural gas you must know if the gas provider is giving you a 2 psi large meter which makes all the gas lines 2 psi or they provided a lower pressure meter which is less than 1/2 pound, usually 7 to 9 inches of water column. If it is 2 lbs you must drop the pressure down with another regulator.

Gas pipe diameter and length of the pipe is crucial and more crucial if other appliances are in the home. Adding gas appliances is more complex than tapping into the existing gas delivery system. I see tons of contractors who make no effort to calculate the piping system with the result of starving appliances when multiple appliances come on together.

Always refer to the appliance directions for gas pressure and adjusting the gas valve inside an appliance.

Note: complicated but here it goes. If your gas company is supplying anything other than a low pressure, less than 1/2 lb from the utility big honking meter you need to:

Add a line regulator before entering any appliance as they will damage the already installed in the appliance adjustable gas valve. Commonly called 2# to 1/2# regulator. Then an appliance gas valve will then be manually adjusted per the appliance to a specified pressure in the burner manifold. See how simple it is. Or you could just wait and see if it burns your face off and then look for the answers.
